View Full Version : Late Surge from the Vikings
Eanna
1 more year....the clock is ticking on the magical three year plan - close but no cigar this time out - plus ca change
what you meant to say is that we're on schedule but you won't give dolan the credit he deserves
collins isn't getting a penny fom DCFC OR CHF.Des Kelly gave him about 50 or 60k and he gave it to the club to pay the teams wages.its only logical that he moved to another club where he'll get paid.

Rovers have done nothing wrong here. Their job is simply to look after the interests of SRFC, first and foremost. If our clubs were in the same situation and did the same thing we wouldn't be so quick to criticise....
If anyone has done anything wrong (although it would only be an 'ethical' wrong - why didn't CHF have a decent contract in place with Roddy to prevent this sort of thing...?) then it's Mr Collins, not Rovers. Rovers owe nothing to Dublin City, so have done nothing wrong.
Therefore, my tune hasn't changed. Rovers still offer much more to Irish football than CHF, which is why I'd like to see the supposed Vikings going down.
It's the best of the 2 options for Irish football, plain and simple, as almost all of us have stated all season. Talk of us all suddenly becoming Dub City fans or anything else is therefore just ballax.
steve u just dont get it - the banter value of havin a rival dub club facing relegation is hilarious :D - the fact that dublin arent a real club and dont have any fans that i know means its ok to big them up in this fight
havin said all that they'll prob go and lose tonight and spoil all our fun
but the last week has been funny - and rod jumping ships is comic genius! :D

a) Roddy , did get paid
b) Des Kelly - if he gave roddy money, none of it went to Dublin City.

Surely Roddy would never lie about getting paid!?!..A man of his integrity..Give back that Merc ya chancer!
I like underdogs and the fact that Rovers would be the team to lose out makes it all the more sweet. SEND THE C**NTS BACK TO WHERE THEY BELONG. Go on Dublin City
Imagine the fun you'd miss out on Guerzy if there were no Rovers fans comin to the cross next season! ;) :D
Rovers to stay up and Roddy to lead them to third behind Cork City and second placed Derry next season, Shels to finish outside the top three and Dublin City to go out of business!! Sounds good to me.
Ya theirs that side to the coin as well
I knew you'd miss it!
A chance to release the rage! ;)

ROnan Seery was on Newstalk106 in Dublin earlier tonight.
Apparently he had a gentleman's agreement with Collins.
For future reference it takes two gentlemen to have a gentleman's agreement and I am afraid Ronan you were the only gentleman involved.
Remember the old adage, " A verbal agreement is not worth the paper it is written on !"
However Rovers should have notified Dublin City... it is only common courtesy or has common courtesy gone the way of everything in this country.... like decent attendances at every game and not just the glamourous one?
thats the first ever gentlemans agreement in which no gentleman was involved :D :D tough cheese rocky, you got what you deserve
