What does Tifosi mean so?

That's the name given to the passionate and colourful italians who follow their teams (originally coined for the followers of Ferrari as far as i know  ).

I'd settle for a win and wouldnt care who scores :o

I thought it was an abbreviation of Tifosi

Not like you to be so uninformed Ticker! ;)
It's Torcida International Fans Organization.

tifosi basically means "Of the TIFO" :)

a bit like "Sheddies".

What does Tifosi mean so?

I just hope that the rain stays away, or indeed, goes away. A sh*tty night could cause a small crowd :(

Im assuming there will be no change in the line up again?

It'll be great if Doyle could get a few against SPA - make them even more sick that they lost him...for nothing...to CCFC...and Pat Dolan.

think kevin doyle has scored 1 more than Aidan O'Keeffe - wow - we're so missing his invaluable contribution ..snigger snigger

Marching all over SPA

wws
21/10/2004, 12:00 PM
Well, ye're obviously missing something because ye've gone to **** on and off the pitch...snigger snigger...

so thats why wallace bid to buy our club recently? (and was turned down)

you'd wanna watch dolan and wallace they talk with two tongues as they say - and one from his *******

ccfcman
21/10/2004, 12:16 PM
This is tabloidesque speculation, wws I'd expect you to know more bout Dolan and Wallace

wws
21/10/2004, 12:26 PM
the bid was confirmed last week - speculation my arse - its now common knowledge

Its fair to say so that ye'd be a better team with O'Keefe AND Doyle rather than just O'Keeffe.

PS
why do you have a Limavady avatar?

so what would we do than? drop another doyle, Robbie who scored 13 last season and replace him with Kevin Doyle?

I think we're just about breakin even or better when you look at it closely. Not sayin that Kevin Doyle is a bad player just that we have two good strikers now anyway so we aint missing him specifically.

Limavady? no particular reason.

Kevin is a far better player than Robbie, and his attitude to the game is excellent

nice one sham

fcuk off ya muppet, there was no bid.

please dont make a fool of yourself - at a recent investor meeting it was confirmed that bids were received - including one from Mr. Wallace - all rejected. That is pure FACT. So cop yourself on.

wws
21/10/2004, 1:27 PM
Your an idiot. For the final time - a bid was received, from Wallace - it was rejected. That isnt specualtion it is cast iron fact!

now good day. if you cant accept it thats your problem.

wws
21/10/2004, 1:34 PM
wot with all these posts.... a random punter would be forgiven for thinking Cork are playing Pats this friday!

I stand by the rejection of the bid from wallace as I was at the meeting in which details were supplied in full.

and Conor - a flood light pylon in the corner failed - contactors were on site within 10 mins - they still couldnt fix it - same happened derry and to several premiership games (though asian betting syndicates may have got their grubby paws on our lightbulbs!)

21/10/2004, 1:37 PM
On reading your post , i was disgusted by your attitude. In my article in the general forum " Getting worried" you referred to my interpretation of the whole squad up for sale as a pr stunt by your club. Now how can you blatantly tell me that this isnt the same. Wallace doesnt invest in bad investments. I bid you good day sir

Guerzy I stand by everything in both posts - its all factual - our squad wasnt sold - Tony Bird was (who was refusing to leave) - as was pointed out Ndo left with Collins and we SIGNED more players - so where is my attitude wrong? I'm merely stating what actually happened!

all it takes is for shels to draw a game and if we keep winning its in our hands!Wowie, tonight Shels showed how easily that can happen. They only got out of jail in the 90th minute.

Wowie, tonight Shels showed how easily that can happen. They only got out of jail in the 90th minute. And it should serve as a stark warning to City for tonight. I hope the team do not see this game as "easy" a game as a lot of posters on here do.
It's teams like SPA who can turn round and f*ck you up when you least expect it.
NO COMPLACENCY, lads.......

Aye good point, as Billy said in an interview on the Echo last night, Pats are still a threat regardless of City's current form.

Johnny Mac not caring about beating Pat Dolan???....come off it.
Pats will always want to put one over on any team Dolan is involved with.

3-1 to Cork City....goals from Doyle, John O'Flynn and George.

Have to agree with JoeSoap.

Pats fans, staff and players would love nothing more than to deny us a shot at the title.

Sure did you know its Dolan's fault that they are so crap, its Dolans fault they are broke too:rolleyes:

Have a feeling this one is going to be close, 2-1 with doyler scoring the winner in the last ten minutes

I'm still sick at the thought of how close DC came to tripping up Shels last night. I knew Roddy could be relied upon to get his troops rallied.
There's still time yet though.
Come on City!

Its absolutely p*ssing down outside, and the forecast is poor for the rest of the day. Pain in the ass, as this could have been one of the bigger league attendances all season. Hopefully it will clear up in the afternoon.

Doyler is 'doubtful'.

Niggling leg injury I think. I wouldnt take any notice though.

I dont think in Pat Dolans managerial career, he has ever had a fully fit squad to choose from ;) .

As it looks like spilling down for hours to come, watch all the bar stoolers dodging in early, to grab the dry seats in Donie Forde and Derrynane, leaving the regulars to get wet arses in St. Annes end.

is the game still on lads??

the wether will affect the crowd, and when the wether is like this we usually dont play very well, remember a rain lashed night last season against longford,o-o if memory serves me right---open to correction,if the game does go ahead, anyone can win it!

There will be a crappy crowd becoz of our uniqyue irish weather.

But remember, it wasnt exactly a nice evening for the Longford game last week either, and we did just fine!

110 posts about a game before kick off!
Good to see Georgie force the issue with the ref when he failed to spot the linesman's flag after the pats keeper punched the ball away from JOF, when he was outside the box. Hmmm. Isn't that an automatic red card? He didn't even get a yellow.

Apart from that red, there should have a few more yellows for shirt pulling on Gamble and Kearney and a few other tackles from Robbie Doyle....but what we got was a harsh yellow for George. That ref was a muppet and if we hadn't been so much better than Pats he could have cost us 2 points.
Good move by Pat to take George off before the ref got a chance to red card him - and it was going that way.

In his programme notes brian lennox is on about the behavior of a few supporters. Can anyone tell me what incidents he is refering to?
