Remember the Echo guy who wrote that article after the Nijmegen win....he's been nominated for the ESB Irish media awards under Regional Sports section.

The quality of journalists/writers in this country must be very poor.

Is this a vote open to the public, so that we can vote for the others?

Would anyone have a copy of that report as I was away for most of the summer?

That's a laugh.
Those awards are probably devised by the Sheliban militia.

No, I don't but I can sum it up -

He basically called the competition a joke (he said it's known as the 'Inter-twobob Cup') and he described the Nijmegen home game "one of the most boring games I've seen at the Cross"

Pat's friday night - anyone up for a round of 'Paul Daly is a horse's ass'???

Of course he ll be there. He is a City fan and its kinda harsh that he gets hammered over his opinions just because he writes in the Echo.
I don't think it had anything to do with the fact that he writes for the Echo.
If those were in fact his views then he ain't a City fan.
Let him p*ss on someone elses parade.
He should stick to the Egg Chasing

He deserves to get hammered if his opinions are thick ignorant!
I think it was more the fact that he said that we played sh!t boring football against NEC (nothing could be further from the truth) annoyed people more than his "opinions" on the inter-toto.

Interesting that he never accepted Brian Lennox's invitation to discuss his views in the City dressingroom.....

I wouldn't even bother lads. NOTL is right, forget him. We've more important things to worry about than the Echo

I think that is the whole problem with him, he wasn't at the game and wasn't able to document it properly. That article has all the signs of a guy who read someone elses match report and had a stab at an article. He was chancing his arm i'd say.

Like the lads said ,you get 'hacks' like this the world over .... hasn't a clue and has all the signs to prove it. Ignore the fool !!

And after that feeble attempt I haven't seen one article by him on the worlds greatest game, has only really been doing Bogball & Egg Chasing.
Oh yeah and an article last night on how he was stuck in A&E in the CUH for 18 hours.

Paul Daly is a "reporter" for a published "newspaper", what he says in public is open for any and all criticism IMO.

You don't wanna get flack and criticised, the you don't write for a newspaper.

The worst thing we can do is keep talking bout Daly cos hacks like him thrive off the attention-as they say publicitys publicity

Some people said Georgie was brutal ( which i think is a crime punishable by death) and i thought he was unbelievable.

Feel the love my brothers

You're obsession with George is becoming quite disturbing. Paul Daly is a w@nker, deal with it beeeatch.

Lads the only reason that artivle was published is cos the new(ish) ***** of a sports editor LOVES controversy. Everyone here knows that article was a load of ******. A question for Daly and our friend Dave 'never been laid' Hannigan: Don't you think that if GAA was played worldwide then the Irish league mightn't look so brill either?!? Who on earth are GAA players compared to?
