Was thinking of maybe doing the same. Roughly how many hours up Eanna? And what is the best way?

And what is the best way?

I have always gone straight up ... Thurles -> Templemore -> Birr -> Athlone etc. Roads aren't the best but you definitely dont meet as much traffic that way.

Spot on SOC.
All members of the Rebel Army should carry provisional licences. That's the reason I still have mine, nothing to do with being too lazy to apply for my full licence or anything like that! ;)

Dont think we can get going much earlier, How long do you reckon to get there? Is it 7:30 or 7:45 kick off?

Just checked it there, (trying to avoid doing any work). It says 1hr 46 minutes on the AA website from dublin to Longford. Not sure if they mean City Center (they probably do, but that wouldn't take into account roadworks etc....

That'll be from the city centre but it doesn't take roadworks at the Kilcock turnoff and the bottlenecks at Enfield, Clonard and Kinnegad into account. And at that stage you're still a good hour from the ground. :(

I'm going to be a little late I'd say.

Would scooting across from Trim be easier???
