Squad announced for two friendlies against Poland and Switzerland, the final build up games before the U17 World Cup in November: https://www.fai.ie/latest/mu17-world-cup-obrien-names-squad-final-world-cup-games/

Goalkeepers: George Moloney (Southampton), Alex Noonan (Shamrock Rovers), Corey Sherian (Finn Harps).
Defenders: Ryan Butler (Wexford), Josh Cullen (Finn Harps), Vincent Leonard (Dundalk), Ade Solanke (FC Lorient) Oisin McDonagh (Venezia),
Midfielders: Rory Finneran (Newcastle United), Ramon Martos (UD Almeria), Grady McDonnell (Club Brugge), Kian McMahon-Brown (Burnley), Goodness Ogbonna (UCD FC).
Forwards: Brody Lee (Cork City), Billy Hayes (St. Patrick’s Athletic), Gavin McAteer (Finn Harps), Jaden Umeh (Benfica), Max Kovalevskis (Shamrock Rovers).

That explains Moloney's omission from the U17 qualifiers squad. Strange that Ozhianvuna isn't in either squad, unless Shamrock Rovers want him for their senior squad.

Notable absentees:

1. Ali Topcu - lovely keeper, recently on the bench for Shels v Hacken
2. Mo Oladiti - very composed technical right back. Left Rovers in the summer to sign for Waterford where he’s from, so maybe a sign that things aren’t going so well recently.
3. Billy O’Neill - playing for Bray so could be another where they negotiated his release. I’d have him over Billy Hayes personally.
4. Finn Sherlock - must be injured I guess.

There’s another handful of lads who you can maybe a case for like Billy Canny or Cillian Tollett or Sam Rooney or Chris Idah or Oscar Skubo Keeley or Jay McEvoy or Sam Stewart - but I think it’s mainly the 4 I mentioned at the top.
