Pats won it 3-2 last minute winner. Horrible way to go out of the cup but great effort by the Carrigaline lads.

On paper you can't see any of those teams beating the Dale. I know it's cup football and anything can happen but the thoughts of 4 in a row might drive Avondale on even more.
Hard to see any of those teams beating Avondale especially when your involved down there,go ahead tell us altogether if the drive is there for 4 in a row???

U bet it is !
Mayfield were 3-0 down when I left, Pats weren't anything special but comfortable.

finished 3-0 our lads gifted them the 3 goals,an og by steph after 10 minutes,a flick on from a corner dropped to a guy free at the back post for a tap in and there 3rd was a late break away goal where they had a 3 v 2.Our lads play poor never showed up,st pat are a average team at best and i'd be very shocked if they went on to win the intermediate cup.

Thanks for that. Disappointing but well done Mayfield. Good run in the competition
Dale 0-0 at ht. Podge saved a pen in first half.
Dale won 1-0, Graham with the goal, Belgrove ended with 10

If Pats are 'average at best' what does the make Mayfield?
Pats controlled the game from the first minute til the last. Mayfield were poor because there werent allowed play and only for a couple of decent saves from the Mayfield keeper and a superb last ditch tackle from the captain it would have been more than three.
Semi final now consists of:
Avondale
Tolka
UCD
St Pats CY
You would expect the winner to be one of Dale or Tolka.
Does anybody know when the draw takes place?

Mayfield were extremely poor, Pats were comfortable as I said, small bald lad in the middle ran the show and yes it could have been more.
Mayfield had 1 or 2 chances before Pats got their third and could have made a game had they scored but once the third went in it was over.
Mayfield side look extremely young, keeper especially, on that performance very hard to understand how they beat UCC.

Does anybody know when the draw takes place?Mayfield are rebuilding after going down last season they lost at least 6 players who played week in week out,
If you were there you would have seen that most of the team are made up of the under 19's with some older lads wrong side of 30.I said pats are average because i been watching senior football for years. If avondale get them they will hit them for 3 or more goals.besides the bald midfielder they don't have much there just well set up and work hard for each other

Wheres the final?
Wheres the final?
No venue mentioned yet but when the semis are drawn, one tie gets home advantage for the final.
That tie is Tolka-Avondale, so Dublin if Tolka win it and Cork if Avondale win.
More than likely be the Cross if in Cork though.

I think lads on here need to do a little more research before writing off any team or club at a whim, Pats CY are in the semi's having already come through two away ties in Cork, they are competing in the strongest amateur division in the country, the club is almost eighty years old and can count the Junior cup amongst its huge trophy haul over its history, in recent years they have reached many big cup finals, they were beaten by Wayside in last seasons Metro final 3-2 and lost only 1 nil to Shamrock Rovers in the Leinster Senior cup final in 2012 having beaten UCD and Bray along the way to the final in Tallaght stadium, they have lost a lot of good players over the past 12 months and are weaker but you mention that 'baldy' lad in the middle, his name is Alan Murphy and had had a decent career, they still have two Junior Internationals in their side and they captain played for the league team just last weekend in Scotland, a few other players are seasoned Intermediate lads and the younger players have come through a good Saturday side that reached the last 16 of the Junior cup last season.

Couldn't agree more but with Avondale more or else at home I would make them favourites. Has the semi final replay been played yet?

Indeed, students had a Cork lad up front as well.
Great value too, it being free entry, as opposed to the €10 into St Michaels - Sheriff Junior Cup semi.
Saturday May 10th at Turners Cross for the final.
Final moved back to Sunday May 11th with a 1pm start.
Students have exams on the Saturday.
