Limerick take the points, Sligo move up to second with their win over Shels this evening. Pats with a five point cushion.. building up towards another cracking tie when those two meet.

I've always liked Limerick and if Cork can get a point or 3 against Sligo on Monday I've always liked them as well.

How long before we can start calling them chokers?
At least another hour and a quarter, so relax.

8 minutes it is so.
Pats in the lead now. Good response.

That wasn't even a close encounter with a choke.

It was a closer contest than the scoreline indicates.
Main problem is Pat's played two keepers. One in either goal.
Sneaky.
Wait you think it should have been closer than a 2 goal win? Wow...

What game were you at? We should have won that 6 or 7 -1.
We were excellent last night helped by a very poor UCD team but AFAIK they had a lot of injuries and have nothing to really play for so you can't blame them or maybe they just wanted to prove Stephen Kenny right :)
No trophy handed out yet but we're nearly there.

Bar the goal, how many shots on goal did you have? or even chances to score for that matter?

Good God, are you sure you weren't up in Derry? UCD were played off the park and got away with just a three one defeat. The Pat's players had fun out there.

Yet two of the goals were absolute howlers from our keeper, who made - what? Two saves all game?
Pat's deserved to win alright, and should go on to win the league now, but I didn't think ye were great tbh. Certainly not compared to the 5-0 and 4-0 games earlier in the season. We tend to up our game in those kind of games (large visiting crowd), and until the inexcusable flap for the first goal, Pat's had created little and were looking like they might start getting frustrated.
Edit - maybe "it was closer than the scoreline suggests" isn't the phrase I was looking for. It should have been closer but for us shooting ourselves in the foot at a vital time.

Any Shels fans have a word on what Bayly said/did to be sent off from the bench at the Brandywell? Fairly mad scenes, looked like Johnny Mc was trying to manhandle him from the dugout but he wouldn't shift for a couple of minutes. Had to get dragged up the tunnel.
Tomas Connolly was dubious on the night though, very keen to see the penalty and Gannons sending off again. From where I was they could have went either way.

Biggest Thug the league has ever had
Not at all - there is another thread listing far more worthy candidates for that title!

Had he been on the pitch or just on the bench?
