Good game against Trim Celtic yesterday, even Denis Cruise was complimentary about it. Pretty even first half before we took over in the second half. Great support from Westport once again. Have to say that everybody was very well looked after in McCormack's pub after the game. A sound bunch of lads and thanks for everything. Very impressed with the pitch and the soup stall for the supporters. As for Sheriff FC, a tough tie but having said that, we often relish the underdog tag.

The AUL gave foot.ie a mention on The Star regarding the "draw" from Sunday night and they weren't happy campers.

This site got was mentioned as giving wrong draws in Target in today's Irish Daily Star.

Bad form from whoever put up the wrong draws.

wel if they would release the draw when it is made instead of hangin onto it like money or even do it live on radio there would be no such problems. all their own doing.

I agree do they not have better things to do or write about than giving out about a forum..

This is the biggest amateur football competition in Europe and two different draws is extremely embarrassing for the teams left in the competition. Someone needs to get their house in order and it's not foot.ie.

quite right joe,i stand corrected,2 nil was it?and sherrif drawn v o devaney,s too as i said very dodgy, drawing four of the top aul teams out like that???this myth my fellow southerners have of the private draws made in dublin is getting tiresome.

It would be a good idea if they could do the draws live on telly it would only take 10 minutes to do and every one then could see that it's been done righteous

Getting good results alright after bringing in experienced players pre season. But Collinstown away will their toughest game so far this season. Did Mervue United sign anyone in the winter transfer window?

Dont rule out the 2 Cork Teams either lads. Home draws and massive support especially Glen Celtic (average 200 home and away in league) just might sway it. Good cup this year so far though with a good few upsets along the way.

There is word that this game 'might' take place in mayfields all weather, if so is there any truth in that? and how is that going to cater for the big support from saint michaels and so called 200 from the glen? Any inf would be grateful.

I thought The Glen used the Astro the previous 2 rounds because of there own pitch deemed unplayable. I'd think if Glen Park was playable then the game would take place there. I'd say Michaels would prefer the Astro then Glen Park.

Its either on up in the sports complex in Mayfield which can well cater for 500 people or down in the Glen resource centre. So called 200 for glen, there will be more than that as Cork clubs support their own. It's going to be a good game no doubt as will Blarney Street who are a serious outfit and capable of beating anybody.

Just going by your previous message you said 200?! Anyway thanks for the info, I don't think it will be played on the glen resource pitch, maybe the community school all weather. It should be a good game. Any predictions, anyone?

Is it just me, or are fewer results posted here this year than previously?
I've tried to pull the competition together as I did on previous occasions, but there are a few outcomes that I can't figure out (for example, if the winners of a 4th Round match, result not known, are defeated in the fifth, you can't work backwards!).
Have a look here (http://www.braywanderers.com/showarticle.php?id=675).
Any corrections - and of course additional results - gratefully received!

Good luck to all still in competition.

Just wondering does anyone out there give Westport any chance against Sherrif Yc ???. I no Sherrif are the best team in Ireland at this level but there winning will surly come to an end sooner or later. Westport are not a bad side at all and would have to be at there best in Dublin to get a result. what do people think????

Westport have no chance lad, stay in mayo and drink the money or buy the kids something nice instead of wasting it on a bus journey to dublin

Sheriff are clear favourites and rightly so, but Westport are a good well organised side. It will be a competitive game. The home draw is an advantage for sheriff but Westport had good wins in Athlone and Trim. Has a date been fixed for this game? Collinstown and Mervue will be a good match aswell.
