The next 2 rounds of games will go a long way to deciding the title. I know it sounds mad, but Sligo could get a run in Europe, Pats too, so it's who grabs these points now before Europe takes hold. And of course Dundalk have a chance to stick in the mix :-)

How long can Tommy Dunne last after Cork's defeat to UCD tonight ?
he has to be gone now, how long more can the board sit back and put up with this rubbish.. my patience has run out now after hoping things would improve but after that tonight surely its time

Great win for the Town.

Referee ruined it early on. Coughlan went through and went down easily after he put his body in front of centre back. Straight red.

Gorman with a great hatrick. Should have had 4 but he went with his left boot and completly missed a probably tap in.

Of their last five games, Cork have won 2, lost 2 and drew 1.

Drogheda have lost all five of their last five league games.

However, no one is trying to get Mick Cooke sacked.

Why do so many people have it in for Tommy Dunne?

Dundalk fans aren't allowed to talk about Drogheda round these here parts....
Sure we're all obsessed with them ?

Pretty comfortable win for us in the end. First half absolutely awful. Couple of half chances but that was it. We played a lot better second half. Good to see North back. Played well. And also great to see Lee Lynch back. Shels still filthy.

The drogs fans obviously feigned interest tonight, less than 500 of them turned up I'm hearing.

Good point re mick cooke v tommy dunne. That's 10 goals conceded v rovers now for them, in 2 games, bet the Malmo boys are getting worried.

#obsessed/really not guys

EDIT< updated crowd given of 1,231 not bad actually.

Is it me or is there a marked decline in comments in matchday threads the last couple of months?

My favourite bit from last night - Dave McMillan taken out 30 yards from goal; ref only gave a yellow card. One of our players shouted at the ref "How's that not a goalscoring chance? Sure he scored from there five minutes ago!"

Cork had all the ball for the first hour, but had no cutting edge at all.

Good win for Waterford United 3-0 V Finn Harps so 4 wins in a row despite not having a manager. We played good football too.

Finn Harps appear to have given up, whats gone wrong there, they looked a decent side in a pre season match I saw.

Also has Adam not been on yet about Tommy Dunne and Cork City ?

that would be drogheda on monday so not ye next friday:p if tommy was sacked who would we even get in? pete mahon to keep our run of dublin managers going?

we badly need to get a goalscorer in cos its just not happening up front for us, created plenty of chances last night by the sounds of it but no one to finish them off, kavanagh and furlong just havn't worked out for us

Not really sure ourselves what happened. Had the best defence in the League until a few weeks ago and now we're shipping goals for fun. 8 goals in the last 3 matches.

It's hard to be too critical of the Dundalk players tonight. It would have been difficult for them to raise their game after becoming champions when they beat Pat's a fortnight ago.

1,249? Someone's having a laugh with that number.

Anyway, Limerick deserved the three points. Always admire a team that don't drop their heads after going two goals behind. Dundalk's usually dominant midfield was poor tonight. Injuries and suspensions took their toll on a small squad.

Looking forward to Derry next week.

Highlight of the night was probably Barry Ryans save from Shaun Kelly.

Maybe it was another Thomond miracle. Sure don't 80 thousand claim to have been there the day they bet the All Blacks (rugby team not the refs)

Barry ryans save at 2 nil down is up there with the best you will see anywhere.....that was the changing point. Very good game last night, dundalk looked very dangerous at times but a few injuries hindered them on the night. Top quality first 3 goals, scrappy 4th and 5th but overall i felt limerick deserved the win for the way they played second half. Taken off joe gamble for rory gaffney made a big difference with gaffney scoring with his first touch...well done stuart taylor for this call

It's called humour.

Dundalk FC was practically dead this time last year. Mickey Duffy is noted for his eccentric (i.e. dire) choices to music.

Pat's fans seem precious and up themselves.
