Killarney Celtic are not representing the Kerry District League as the league in Kerry is not over . They are top of the league table but it goes to a final between top two teams to see who gets the title of league champions and the chance to play in the Munster Champions Trophy . So as it stands Killarney Celtic ( Munster Champions Trophy Winners 2011) are guarenteed a place in the league final and will be joined by one of three teams who are Castleisland Fc ( Kerry DL Premier Division Runners up 2012) , St Brendans Park Fc ( Kerry DL Premier Divison Champions 2012 & Munster Champions Trophy Runners Up 2012) and Killarney Athletic .

Thats a bit unfair on St Brendans Park who reached the last 16 this year when they were beaten by this years finalist Kilbarrack Utd in Dublin . Sean Kelly has moved to America . Liselton still play with a number of their old players still with them but are now known as LB Rovers .

When is the playoff fixed for? St Brendan's have one league fixture remaining and if they win it they will be in the league decider against Killarney Celtic . Any other result for st Brendan's leaves Killarney Athletic with a chance to make it to the Final . It's looking like the Final could be played on Sunday June 16th but this isn't confirmed yet .

That sounds like a long season, or did Kerry league start later than most? It started last week in August 2012 , as usual in Kerry it goes on way to long .Fir me the reason seems to be Too many cup games with replays plus too many teams looking for games off over Gaa matches .

No disrespect to this competion but how many of the above clubs will take it seriously ? Can team's turn down the option to play in it as to be honest last thing must clubs need is an away draw another drain on the clubs coffers. If I'm not mistaken the west cork league side refused to travel last year !! Its not even as if it's a pre season tournament . Could they not plan such tournament better ? As in all reality all the above clubs will end up with back logs come end of season . It's a great concept but they need to look at fixture dates . Just a little rant :) what do ye all think

I have to disagree. Before this competeion started the same clubs would have been in the Munster Senior cup, so not really any extra fixtures.

Poor league to be honest Thomas ye should hit them for 4 or 5 . They have a good pitch dressing rooms and showers be a long spin for ye as right in bottom of West Cork. They'll fight hard and be tough but ye should have miles too much football for them .

Clonmel Celtic are a very good side,they knocked Boro out of the mjc at they quatre final and knocked us out in the semi(carew park) on pens,they also pushed pike very close in the final,they won the Tipp league which is very strong,they will be one of the favorites IMO to win this comp.
