View Full Version : LOI Series 14 & 11 Premier & First Division fixtures.
We just want as few away fans from Louth in the ground after the last crowd that turned up......
Really? So you are in such a strong position that possibly up to 3k in gate receipts if 200 had travelled over would not have mattered?
You'll notice it in the re-arranged match.

Your players will notice it too when there's no one to get behind the team. Will help us on the pitch.
The "last" crowd are from Meath. ;)
Disappointed to have to head home after such a long trip to the west coast.
However, Sligo are not responsible for the weather.
I strongly disagree.

Game being called off for Sligo really worked out for them. Instead of missing two of there better performers this season (Cawley, Peers) for a tough league game they now miss tonight's league cup game at home to Mervue.
Is there any truth to the rumour, Sligo turned the sprinklers on for a couple of hours leading up to the pitch inspection?

Figured it was a joke alright, but you could forgive the confusion given the protracted moanfest that went on before it.
Great few results for the seagulls. Getting dizzy!

Cork City are fined and make statement following racist incident @ TX during V Bray match.
Cork City Football Club has confirmed that the club has been fined following an incident of racist behaviour by an individual at Turner’s Cross. This follows an incident at last week’s home fixture against Bray Wanderers, where one individual within the crowd shouted a racist comment at Bray Wanderers player Ismahil Akinade.
As is made clear by the ground regulations, Cork City FC has a zero-tolerance approach to racist behaviour. To date efforts to identify the perpetrator have been unsuccessful and the club appeals to all supporters to assist in identifying the person responsible, who was standing in the area between the Donie Forde Stand and the Curragh Road stand.
Should the perpetrator be identified, their identity will be forwarded to all relevant authorities and the individual will face an indefinite ban from attending fixtures.
The club has contacted Bray Wanderers to express our sincere apologies to the club and their player for this deplorable behaviour. We have also assured them that we are making every effort to identify the person responsible.
Cork City FC wishes to clearly state that the club welcomes all supporters to Turner’s Cross and condemns any form of bigotry and discrimination. The club will not tolerate any behaviour of this nature at Turner’s Cross and anyone found to be engaging in such behaviour will face ejection from the ground and will be reported to the Gardaí.
