Mad that they have a solicitor but no physio out there.

Apparently FIFPro are paying for the trip rather than the PFAI themselves. Not sure why they couldn't squeeze in a physio.

My point is that without the PFAI paying for this coverage, it would receive the coverage it deserves.
None
Dunno bout that, Trevor Croly is probably having tapes of the game couriered to Tallaght quick smart via the PFAI considering all his main targets have fallen over themselves not to sign.
Lost 3rd place play off on penalties to Sweden after drawing 0-0.

He asked the defence plenty of questions.

He was the only one who wanted to be appointed to the bench.
Got caught ball watching repeatedly while on the defensive, his cross examination did not serve him well.

However, the opposition remain the slicker unit. Central midfielder Patrick Byskata, who has been recommended to Shamrock Rovers (http://searchtopics.independent.ie/topic/Shamrock_Rovers), is solid in the centre of the park and the DVD will be making its way to Hoops' boss Trevor Croly.

Would that not be the last game you'd watch a DVD of to assess a player? Surely it'd make a lot more sense to find ones where the players are in actual competitive games for their clubs. I appreciate that that's probably not possible in all cases (Coll for example) but if a player has been at any decent level getting a few should be possible.

While I was being flippant of course it is getting predictable with TC and Rovers. Director of Football yet to be announced to assist Croly and to free up time for him to help the development of U19s involved in the 1st Division squad - but he of course will still be the man in charge of 1st team affairs and player acquisition!!?

Croly keeping the job ( sorry career) in his local video library so he has something to do when Nutsey arrives out in Mordor  shrewd move

It would be interesting to find out where all the players that played in Norway for the PFAI end up and how many actually get sorted out. Maybe the PFAI should publish this on their website before the season starts.

Would he really? Considering the cost of living over there? I suppose they may be paying for his accomodation.

Be interesting to know what kind of money a 3rd division Norwegian team would be on. To put it in perspective ... a burger, chips and a pint in Norway could cost €29. If you could get them to pay accommodation you could make a nice few quid over there for a few seasons.

Very good article actually. The amount of self righteous crap people are spouting about that Evans fella is truly ridiculous.
The point about the other 2 lads who killed people with their cars is particularly relevant.
It appears society can forgive someone for driving drunk and killing 2 children but not some dope who stirred the porridge (eeeww by the way!) and then gets convicted of rape cos the poor Young one in question can't remember anything? It's all mad ted!

Ignorance on a quite spectacular scale.
It amazes me the commentary on this case. Tried, convicted, appealed the conviction, appeal failed, appeal for leniancy on sentence, appeal on sentencing failed. Do people go around questioning convictions accross the spectrum or is it just because this fella is a footballer?

Don't overthink it RAM. It's just misogyny and rape culture. If a girl gets drunk and a load of men have sex with her, she must have wanted it.

This is an odd one, even by the PFAI's standards. Front page, right to left: Player of the year voting, World XI of the year news, nominees for PFA player of the year and then....why the rapist is getting a raw deal. OK then.

The PFAI putting the old "there's no such thing as bad publicity" adage to the test here. The English press are jumping on it, and not because they think it's such a well written article.
