can anyonr answer me why there is a dublin ref in charge on Sunday? this has been the case for years and surely its not right? what if a Cork ref was in charge ? there'd be war from Rovers.....

I think all referees would like to think they were unbiased.
If however Kelly had to replace the ref that did the City V Galway match and made a few decisions in City's favour I'm sure Galway would have a few things to say about that...

Dublin bias again and it nake me mad

Was the one question i forgot to ask the ref who was at that NLU Forum the other week. :(

Dublin has the biggest population of players & refs so no real surprise they have the most refs too. What will probably also happen on sunday is the ref travels on the same train as Shamrock Rovers.

I don't believe Dublin refs are any more biased than any other ref but as on Oliver Byrne was reported as saying when thought $hel$ were playing at the Brandywell with a Derry ref its the "appearance that things are fair..." that matters.

From what i've seen so far this season it doesn't matter a damn who the hell the referee is or where he is from, because we seem to be hard done by each and every time by the feckers, leading oul gobsh*te murphy to rant off on some bizarre tangent in the press in the following days.
