We were there for a disciplinary matter but the red card occurred during a friendly. They weren't happy that we'd a friendly without permission. It was the insurance and PLI issue that made me think to share this info with other teams. Pretty sure they're gonna be busy authorising friendlies in pre season this year.

Ya its a loss all right especially for the FAI cup game as our other signings are cup tied and CF out with broken foot, but its his choice at the end of the day and we wish him the best of luck from everyone with it.

Some hope of us playing in Clashduv we left there for a reason, although if we get throw and get sherrif in the next round wel play down there ha I dont think dean was signed on time will have to double check that i Kno shane long is cuptied all right.Supposedly CIT pitch is in **** at the moment and with the weather we having at the moment we're looking at all weather pitches just incase, last thing we want is to travel to sligo if it did get called off

Always tough for ye tricks with no schoolboys. Constantly fighting the lure of their schoolboy teams I suppose. It's funny seeing "7th round"...........our first round game seems years ago!! Only one or two wins from FAI senior cup and maybe Europa league for ye!! We battled Pearse for five or six years - always blood, thunder and handshakes. Good bunch of people.

We all know the issues with Clashduv but if a sugar daddy came and fixed the pitch and dressing rooms, the location is perfect.

Shane is an old school winger, not many of them around. Gold dust.

We owe Clare big time on Sunday. They escaped with an fairly lucky win a few years back in a semi in the Cross. I am confident the lads will win though. Strong looking squad.

This weather is soul destroying. We waited 12 years for showers, have them 3 months and didnt use them yet!! I might go up for a shower anyway.

Go up and break them in, leave 1 or 2 empty shower gels on the floor for good measure!

Was it on grass or the astro

Kearney
03/02/2013, 6:05 PM
Lads 4-1 to clare sending off was a right decision in my eyes his first yellow card was harsh but cant throw ball into other teams dug out taught clare were the much fitter team darran lynch took his penalty well cork aul never really got going..Clare also had a man sent off with maybe 10 or so minutes remaining..is it time for a change in management and players

Who would you put in charge hubba's? Both challenges were probably yellows. It was the reaction afterwards that was stupid and out of line. Already had the red when he threw the ball hubba. Don't think cork players really showed up. Even though they had long periods of possession they never really troubled the goal 1st half. Clare were happy to soak up the pressure and catch the aul on the counter which they did to great effect. Keeper hesitated for the goals in my opinion. Came and stopped when he should have just came. Saying that you cant really blame him. Howie wasted out wide. Thought park lads were poor. That's not a dig but they were off form. Mark was very quiet by his usual high standards as was John. Clare were physical and organised. They deserved the win. Second goal at stroke of half time finished the aul. These are just my opinions of today's showing. Astro didn't suit the aul either. Were too loose all over the pitch.

good to see a report without the usual excuse's, unlucky to cork aul, always going to find it tough when you have to contend with other counties who dont have a senior leauge

Hard luck to the Cork lads & Donal. I think it was a case of the "big boys" not showing up today. In terms of needing a change of management don't be so stupid, this is the first year in a long time when there was a bit of a buzz about the Oscar team. Donal deserves another crack at it, the fact Turners Cross wasn't available definitely hindered the team. That surface in Douglas Hall doesn't suit the ball style that Donal wanted the lads to play. Was kind of sickening to watch our lads play on that when the pitch behind us had a school girls game on it. Why not switch the AUL game to the grass, I feel it could have been a closer game. Kearney blotted his copy book but let's not get carried away here on him. He didn' hurl or slam the ball into the dugout, he picked it up with the intentions of hurling it in but he thought better of it and barely threw it. My 6 year old nephew would have threw it harder. Unlucky boys draw a line under it and look to next year.

03/02/2013, 7:04 PM
I disagree. I don't think you can ever get "used" to it. It's a difficult surface. Any bit of wind (which is always there) and you're not catching that ball. I'm not making excuses the Clare team were the better team on the day but on grass we stood a better chance!

Unlike others I'm not surprised to hear the reaction of that player after he got sent off , he can't cope when things go against him!that player is a top player buddy i respect him big time and all his team mates on aul and kilumney team would say the same he is class ok what happened was stupid but there were comments came from the dug out and it was like that all day .as for donal he did a good job he will be a lot better next year for it .over all better team won to slow a start.

You have your opinion and are entitled to it , don't mean I have ta agreewell you have your opinion but the fact that he plays for a top club and plays for his county means were talking about a very good footballer who just left himself down are you at his level in the game before you ask am i no im not .

Lads, I've had it confirmed that Kearney will not be suspended for his next or any club game. He would have been suspended for the next Oscar game so that will be next year if he's selected.

I have nothing to do with the Clare league played a few seasons there but also played in limerick so no allegiance to them. If that particular Astro is so bad why did the manager agree to play it there surely there was plenty of grass pitches available today.

I missed game today so can't comment on their performance but would just like to say well done to all the Aul squad and management they put in a huge effort from what I seen . I went to most of their match's and near all their training session's and it's credit to them all that in this current climate that lads gave up their time and travelled great distances at their own expense . Well done lads

Lets be honest here the Cork AUL team were far too cocky today and it came back to haunt them..Very average, waiting for something to happen instead of making it happen. Can't blame the gaffer.. Picked the best squad available.. Players attitude cost then today

Well done?.nothing against Clare football but whats the point in the so called top aul players even thinking they've a hope of winning the tournament when they get mangled at home v the mighty Clare?.i wouldn't be commending their shambolic effort and as for the so called league champs top players?.shows how bad last years league was lads
