Lads who are B.T. Harps and how did they end up with a team straight into the Premier and a B team straight into the first?

A roscrea team maybe?

They are Blackcastle United - They merged with Templemore FC to form BT Harps

Sallypark 0-2 Clonmel Town

Beaten well on the day, scoreline probably fair overall but they could have scored another amd we missed a sitter.
We were down players and manager played centre back so we were happy with the performance overall. We haven't haf a challenge game so far so we were slow to get going for the first 30mins but we improved after that and far from embarrassed ourselves.

Saw some celtic lads on the sideline so would like to hear their take on the game! :)

ya ye were slow to start and gave away the ball to much in the 1st half but like you said ye came into it well in the second half and could have been level before they got the second, we were fairly impressed with ye in the second half

Ya I definitely think we had a problem getting our foot on the ball in the first half, and when either team played it long they were dominating in the air. Plenty to improve on!

When is the shield starting and whats the draw?

Ya Jim definitely has the right ideas and the right tone to get lads listening! Hopefully lads pull with him now because he has the interest at the minute and we're fairly raw in a footballing sense so there's plenty to be learned.

How are ye looking for this season? I hear quinn is gone to town, do ye have jimmy back?

ya heard quinny is with town alright, no we dont have jimmy, we lost 2-0 to two mile borris tonight we were poor but alot of new lads trying to play a new system so it will take time to gel, we should be a bit stronger than last year but we probably wont challange for the league

wasn't overly impressed with them, they started strong but seemed to fade out of the game, saying that tho they still passed the ball well and wont be easy to beat down there but id fancy ye to win

Clonmel town are quite good in the air and the two centre halves are good players. I don't think they would pose too many problems for nenagh town

For the heads interested in the lads stuck in the 3rd Division haha. We played couple friendlies won 3-2 vs Nenagh Town C they had couple players tagging along to get game time I believe from A and B teams but played mainly C players. Won 4-1 vs Cloughjordan B we never looked in trouble in that game. Played 1st round of shield last night vs Ballymackey B finished 3-3 after the 90 and we pulled through 5-3 on peno's. Any thoughts on who ye think will be chaps of their divisions this season from premier to 3rd divisions?

Not that I could see, very same starting team as last season. Maybe a chap from borroway came on for them but thats all, no peake villa players to be seen anyway

Clonmel Town 1 Nenagh A.F.C 1 (Nenagh A.F.C win 7-6 on pens)
For the 3rd year running we will play St. Michaels in the final, tough game down in clonmel that we should of won in 90 mins, Mikey O' Gorman with a fine goal on his competitive return for Nenagh, Clonmel equalised in the 4th minute of injury time in the first half, we had decent chances in the second half to win it but to no avail. Mikey, Adam M, Damien, Scouter, Monkey, Mole and Paddy scored the pens and Savo saved 2. Final is this coming Friday @ 7pm in Brickfields.

congrats to borris on winning the shield last night, its a great start to the year for ye i hope ye had a good night.

as for us, we played well once we settled into the game but we just couldnt put the ball in the back of the net, missed 5/6 great chance, overall happy with the way we played, we can take some positives out of it and we have a good bit to work on as well

Thanks to Nenagh Celtic last night for a good reception both during and after the match - Its a great start for us but still alot more work to do. We had a good opening twenty minutes but our defense got a real eye opener as to what premier football will be like this year for alot of the game after that. I hope we can gain a bit of confidence from it ahead of the new season..

John is the finest sound lad he lives up the road from me there. Scored 4 in 2 pre-season games so his flying from the off this year for us. We have 3 Nenagh boy's with us this year.

Congrats to Borrisokane on winning the shield, great boost to start the season for ye, hard luck to celtic.
Also hard luck to town in their final against saints last week, saints just seem to have the indian sign over ye at the minute.

League kicks off this weekend, great to be back!

Predictions:
premier - Thurles Town (controversial I know!)
First - Rearcross
Second - Ballymackey
Third - hard to know, possibly Shannon Rangers

Sallypark FC had a great season both first and second teams last season, hopefully we can do as well this time around.

Best of luck to everyone!
