Cover the draw for Bray and it is deffinately worth a punt. Even in to 7/4 Drogs look a decent bet to win at Tolka

Some of the odds this weekend are ridiculous on Paddypower. Stuck on my usual mad accumulator for the craic with some crazy odds this weekend.
Got Drogheda to beat Shels 13/8, Longford to beat Waterford 13/10, Athlone to beat Mervue 11/8, Harps to beat Wexford Evens, amongst others.
Big one that caught my eye was Cork to beat Sligo 5/1. Worth a few quid if you ask me.

Big games for Rovers and Drogs tonight.
Rovers team: Jannson Hawkins Oman Powell Sullivan Dennehy Ronan Finn O'Donnell Turner Kavanagh O'Neill
Midfield looks very light and no proven goalscorer in the team. Great to see Killer on the bench.

Kenny to be sacked during the week if Rovers go out of Europe
Drogs 1 up against shels at HT, all other games nill all
Kenny wont walk so he'll have to be paid. 2.5(ish) years left on a 3 year contract? Its going to cost Rovers. Maybe they can defend it on some level if they get punted by Ekranas (though its flawed - you cost us a couple of hundred k by losing so we're going to pay you another couple of hundred k to go)... worrying times for Rovers fans. [obligatory :D ]

Very low scoring night all round. I need to stop betting on teams every so often, what seems like a sure fire bet turns into a disaster. On the contrary, the Athlone result could potentially turn out fruitful for Harps. A win over Wexford would see us only 5 points off 4th place which is most certainly achievable.

Did a Brazil/Limerick double. Mixed emotions about Lims late winner..

A waterford win they would be four behind Limerick I'd rather that than longford drawing level with us.

I still have deluded visions of somehow chasing the last play-off place, so I want a Longford win.

Massive game alright tonight in the first division. Waterford have been going well in recent week and have to win here to a title push.
In the Premier, I a have been surprised by Drogheda's season so far. I could never have seen it happening. Can they retain this form until the end of the a season? As we're only over halfway, there's still a lot of football to be played yet.

I would've thought Athlone still could have outside hopes on a play-off place. To lose away to Mervue is an awful result.

To lose away to Mervue is an awful result.
That's 'cos they were awful - Mervue were marginally less awful
Poor value for a tenner in these times of austerity........

Ben Ryan for Blues and Longford's Alan Kirby sent off by the way.
100% record in a full series of games now (7 wins from 7). On a major roll. Please Finn Harps, don't get any spanner/works type ideas next week!

James sent off for us too, for no reason, straight red while everyone was running and the ball was a mile in the air..
I have to say Darius is making a huge difference to Dundalk, 2 very tough games, ok both at home, but still v Rovers & Derry, 2 pts, good performances, more so v Rovers, but still 2 pts on the board, and when you are struggling, believe me they all count. Also, these are games that McCaffrey would have auto lost, and no mistake.
Caught the end of Dundalk FM after the game, made a good point, 'we know we might not challenge for a few years, but we just want to see good football, and players giving 100%, and this was seen for the first time this season v Rovers & Derry'............
Now that will encourage the stay at home fans to come back.

Good weekend for Limerick 3pts clear with huge goal diff fair play to waterford there on some run. Imo A win v athlone next week and Limerick have the chance of killing off longford at home the following week

Didnt realise things were as tight as they were in the FD, I can't see Limerick not winning it (they had a wobble and still top), but Waterford have given themselves a great chance now of making the play off...............wouldnt that be interesting if it was v us, after the controversial match back in 1997, then again we did have a play off match since then, the 'no point playing' home & away games in 2006.............maxi-gate end to the season.

I only wish there was a camera in Finn Park last night. An absolutely cracking second half of football. First was the typical boring first division crap, but holy jesus, that second half was worthy of anyone. Such fantastic entertainment and a couple of great goals. Kevin McHugh most definitely still has that touch of class, fantastic free kick scored by him.
If only we could cut out stupid schoolboy defensive errors we'd be much higher up the table than we are at present.

City one up v Sligo ..... From extratime (http://www.extratime.ie/fixtures/detail/17963/1/)
That goal came out of the blue. Ian Turner breaks and his shot gets a deflection and heads in past Gary Rogers in goal. Silence here.
