I've seen a few teams are back already, to me this is strange but a game of all with your teammates is no harm! I've been watching the forums and are you in management now? Or have you come out of the Casillas closet yet?

ohh ok thanks .lads with the so called big guys gone from the aul it will be very intresting who the new big 3 in aul will be over the next few seasons . it would be good for football if it became a 6 or 7 club all in the top div of course.

Dixie's Cousin
04/07/2012, 10:44 AM
The Premier should be a lot more open with the "3" gone, I think it's Park's to lose but i reckon Blarney Street and Castleview will push them all the way. Not to mention Coachford!

zicorossi
04/07/2012, 11:29 AM
park.castleview..killumney i think the big 3 now i dont mean to put down a team or club it takes more then calling your self galacticos and win couple small league.s and no cups to be in there with that 3 ....there big clubs in particuler castleview great club...killumney i have loads of respect for.

Dixie's Cousin
04/07/2012, 11:53 AM
Do Killumney call themselves Galacticos? I thought that was Blarney Street ;-)

I struggle to see where the players are going to come from:

Blarney Utd. x 2
Strand
Killowen
Waterloo
Rylane
Donoughmore
Ard Na Laoi

all playing within 2/3 miles of the area. Id imagine they will have 30 lads for first training session reducing gradually until Christmas.

Even Coachford isn't a million miles away

The league will be between killumney, park, blarney st and coachford lads, castleview are a good side as i said after the mossie final i expected them to go up but i don't think their gonna win the league on their 1st attempt.Id expect killumney to win it this year!!!

just my take but just looking here we can see the reason cork football is or could be in trouble. a guy posts about a lower team and already the so called elite dont have a comment ..we just want to talk top div on here .cork aul team win on objection because a guy is cute and knows football.time to look to all div and see .

doesnt every club start with big numbers and it slowly decreases?

assuming the population of tower is over 3000(according to wykapedia) i would say theres plenty of room for another team.
considering blarneys teams are not exactly overloaded on local players will also help
any boy who grew up in tower would like to play for a tower team rather than the others mentioned

best of luck to all involved with it anyway
a bold move with so many clubs around as you say so only time will tell how they fare out

well it proves my point you had trouble geting your views commented on. now you have the respect on here im told you know your football i can see that by the way you posted on this .your a football man ..i think the 3rd div will be great this year with glen celtic b.....look last year ..who had good seasons glen celtic teams ..ballinhassig..knocknaheeny cel...carrigaline...the teams who got out of cork in fai cup..and all other that put in great cup runs and won there leagues .

It's same as every aspect of football, respect has to be earned. I would love to see more posters in here but it turns into a slagging as soon as rivals are indentified. I would also like to see all the old lads on here but people have burned bridges!

i agree i got into hassle with one poster. i regret now because what you say on text isnt what comes from the mouth i know a few guys here and respect ..we all love the game but agenda gets to people we all think our views are right.but comment with sense i say dont grip.so i said what i said to them on last season i waited till season over and that was it ..im looking forward to good chat here on football no winding up lmao.

There's nothing wrong with a wind up but when 2 lads have the same opinion some lad think they are the same person! Having said they I am looking forward to next season myself and a good bit of banter!

15000 people in tower and surrounding areas apparently !
Both Blarney teams relegated last season so be a clear out of the non locals either through them leaving or otherwise i'd imagine. Hopefully anyway - you'd like to see the local lads getting a fair crack of the whip.
Best of luck to them as you say but i think a lot of the problems with the aul come from the ease of setting up a team and joining division 3, if each of the other teams in the area lose 2/3 players to the new team them they begin to struggle and could end up disappearing, i think there are plenty teams in Cork without setting up new ones but each to their own.
Strand have taken a long time to get out of Div 3 and if someone did want to join a team then they would be a decent option in Div 2 even for a casual footballer. Wide range of teams in the area for all levels of footballers already without a new team. But i could be all wrong and they might rampage through the divisions yet !!

im not sure would the local lads who were pushed out of blarney be rushing to go back to them
from the lads i know out there they havent a good word to say about the club

also a fresh start at a brand new club is an exciting project would you agree lads?
playing for the badge would take a whole new meaning as you are the club past, present and future?

only time will tell i suppose
could be magic or could go completely the other road
