Hi lads.
I was just wondering, does anyone know when the draw for the next round will take place.

At a guess, Monday 4 June on MNS - but that's using logic, a term not bandied about lightly in Abbotstown.

On a separate note, I just had a look at the betting odds for the replays this week. Bookies are quoting Douglas Hall at 8/1 to beat Wexford. I think Wexford should go through but that's a very high price IMO, Wexford only equalised through a peno with a few mins left today and are amateur themselves.

in light of the humiliation dealt out by the worst team in the league on your own team, at home as well, would you like to rethink that statement?
no, let me guess... your manager wants to concentrate on the league anyway . Probably a good choice of his behalf because you will need all the concentration youse can get to take the title off us,pal.
Sticks and stones man, sticks and stones.... :P
But on a serious not we're not the worst we've been unlucky in a few but we've also just not showed up in others. Money is everything in this game, if you have it you have success

assuming you are a Mons fan... then what are you on? Your team is bottom, after 12 games. You are the worst team in the Premier Division right now.
As for money, its hard to get any money when you have almost no one turning up at your home games, its not like many LOI teams have sugar daddies buying them success these days

Im sorry to steal Mons thunder here but if there is a worst team prize this season we are in with a real shout. It's been obvious that we have been building towards the title since 2008 and slowly but surely we're getting there.
This could be our year.

My god, Rogers was horrendous for Monaghan's second goal. I still think Clarke is a far better goalkeeper.

You clearly haven't seen STD so, they were absolutel shocking on Friday, and three points from 12 games isn't exactly something to shout
about. As for Keane's sending off, watched MNS and he clearly swung a punch at one of the Mons lads off the ball, a definite red

Football, beer and sun - cant get better than that!
Cherry Orchard V Longford - Longford never at the races
Good set up they have at Tolka Rovers - nice ground, got in for a fiver so cant argue with that!

Its a conversation that a lot of our fans had at the start of the season. Although caught for the goal in fairnes to Rogers he has been fantastic for us in a lot of recent games. Rogers is far better in the air than Clarke, while Clarke would be better with distribution. Overall Id prefer Rogers but I wouldnt be suprised if some went the other way.

He was very poor for that goal but he's been excellent for us so far (apart from his tendancy to kick the ball straight back to the opposition keeper).
Clarkes attempt at saving the Dundalk winner in the league game was shocking as well.

I'd take Rogers over Clarke any day. Clarke's a very good keeper, but Rogers dominates in the air the way Clarke doesn't, and his shot-stopping is generally first class. Anyway, I'm going to butt out now and leave this thread to folks whose teams are still in the competition. Good luck Monaghan.

Rogers is a much better keeper. Clarke has already cost us a lot of points this season

Clarkie's been poor for us this season, think Rogers is better myself.

Speaking of keepers why didn't anyone besides Bohs try to sign Barry Murphy??
Did something happen him since his early Shamrock days??

Rodgers better than Clarke who is really poor, and he is going to cost Pats a lot more this season and next if they keep him. Strange that Pats could not find someone better than him in Dublin.

The truth is there's no great LOI keeper. Clarke's in the top 3/4. Pats certainly aren't the Dublin club with goalkeeper issues...

What's Brian Murphy at now? Still 3rd choice at Q.P.R?

Hasn't been the same player ever since he was carted off in an ambulance after a head-on collision with Cretaro in a cup game with Sligo in Tolka in 2007. Then he fell out with Scully in 2008 and then MON in 2009. Before that, in 05, 06 and 07, he was the best keeper I had seen since the legend that was Tony O'Dowd.

Think it was Faz Kudozovic that he ran in to.

Good shotstopper and very mobile but never commanded his penalty area (too small). Decent keeper but not in top 10 of last 5/10 years at any stage.
Probobly still better than what is at Tallaght now. Dont think Bohs tried to resign him. He finished his contract at the end of last season and was one of the last 'full time' contracts we had on the books (refused buy out previous season).

Rogers seems to have more of the howler factor about him. I remember a particularly dreadful goal he conceded away against the Ukrainian (?) side in last season's Europa qualifiers. Then again he was understandably very worried about his bonus at the time.

I'm tempted by Douglass Hall +1.5 at close to EVS tonight. But Wexford team newS could make or break the bet

I backed Douglas Hall at 8/1, too good to turn down. But I also put just enough on Wexford HT/FT to cover the bet.

Douglas currently 2-1 up after going a goal down. 20 minutes gone in that game. Also stuck a few quid on a Douglas/Turkey double tonight. Got 23/10 for Turkey to beat Bulgaria. They're also 1 up. Looking good
