Was just going to say that too. Disappointing away crowd from them. Good atmosphere in Tallaght though.

Limerick were very poor tonight. We should have had at least a draw.
Alot of time wasting with 15 mins left from Limerick. Overall disappointed with loss but pleased with performance.

Plenty of young players coming through and with the developments off the field hopefully getting close the future is bright which is the main thing. Best of all it is being managed in a sustainable way.

Ya we where poor but felt we should have had two more goals and been home and dried with Behans two great chances and Paudie cracking it off the crossbar. Athlone played decent but Barry Ryan had no saves at all to make and athlone squandered their one good chance in my opinion.
Losing Derek O Brien so early was a pity and then we lost corie by half time meaning we couldb't get any more attacking options like Sheehan on the pitch. All in all delighted to just get the 3 points.
The pitch was awful to say the least. Absolute sandpit. Hard to see the reasoning behind the amount of sand on it. With a lovely ground like that you'd expect a very good playing surface but I've never seen the pitch in good nick. Is it used for a lot of junior games?

It is just rock hard and the pitch is being worked on at present but needs a two week break and dry weather with it for spiked, chain harrowed, seeded etc. Weather earlier in year didn't allow for it. After Wexford game were have three weeks without home game so will be best playing surface in country then.
Anyways when did Pat Scully tactics ever require a pitch?

Derry were dreadful. Fair play to Drogs - they were exceptionally effective, trebling up on Derry players in their half and then counter attacking with intent and fluency. Sean Brennan was the game's outstanding player.
But we were awful, worst performance from that team in some time (within a number of years). Players and management knew it too - Devine and Hegarty were furious. It'll either be a crucial lesson for team and management or a portentous sign of things to come.

I agree Limerick were poor again tonight but still won we haven't played well yet this season still trying to gel as a team. BUt as for your point of deserving a draw get real lad Barry Ryan had not one shot on Target to deal with towards Limerick hitting the bar behan missed a free header 6yrds out at the end of the first half then he failed to connect with a ball rolled across the six yard box when it was easier to score he topped it off by missing a one on one towards the end.

What a difference a year makes, Drogheda flying now under Mick Cooke. What a fantastic job he has done so far, looked relegation dead certs prior to the beginning of last season. He has moulded a nice team together there now

A routine win for the Champions against what can only be described as an inhibited opposition. At times it was akin to playing a kids team. The single worst boez side I've seen in 31 years. Class will out in the end i guess. Onwards and upwards.

Anything around 80-100 or above is a fantastic away support for any fans travelling the length and breadth of the country. You'd only expect higher away attendances with clubs in fairly close proximity to each other or with easy travel.

Most of the time Drogs can hardly get 200 heads to a Derby match just up the road in Dundalk.

There must have been only about 200 or 300 Bohs fans in Tallaght tonight too. So I don't see how anyone can complain about a small away support travelling a 250 mile round trip on a Friday night. I know the problems with travelling to away matches and the bother involved in organising buses, so I say fair play to whoever travels away. Often costs a lot more money than one would imagine.

... and Bray have to travel round Dublin on their way to Cork? It's 360 miles round trip. Then they fix Bray away to Derry on a Monday? We'll be lucky to have a dozen fans there.

Not sure what game you where watching. You where fortunate and you know it. Decent strike by Twigg was the real difference. I'm sure any neutrals on here would say, if we got a point out of that game it wouldn't have been undeserved.
Irrelevant really as Shams always had enough in the tank to beat ye to be fair.
Bohs had a couple of half chances. True, ye didn't have a Twigg but that wasn't the only difference.
Shams did to Bohs what Bohs routinely did to everybody else a couple of seasons ago.
I didn't hear many Bohs fans admitting anybody deserved a point against them back then!
Tough to take I would imagine.
I don't think Bohs will go down but it won't be by much unless you can find a finisher somewhere.

About 80% of the possession was the difference. Your levels of delusion are absolutely mindblowing.
