Couldnt really be bothered doing out whole league tables, but I fancy Sligo for the Premier Title, Pats (If they gel) and Rovers the only other two realistic challengers IMO.

Bray, UCD, Mondogs, and possibly Dundalk competing to stay up.

Then the rest in their own little mini league, probably Cork to top it

As for the first division, Limerick to win it, although I don't think theyll run away with it, Longford always impressed me last season, and Giller and Collie James going there are major coups IMO. Can see them being a close second

Whos injured?

McGill can't play until May AFAIK. Craig Walsh broke a metatarsal last week. Jeff Flood also has a broken foot. Des Hope, Gary Shaw also carrying injuries I think. Will probably know more after seeing the teamsheet after this weekends game against Shels.

Predicting the league placings is the easy part.

I reckon guessing who get's licence's at the first time of asking is going to be the best craic.

El-Pietro
01/02/2012, 10:20 PM
i dont think there will be many issues this time Sam - I think they have taken a look at who is likely to get a license and planned out the leagues based on that i.e. the FAI know Cobh wouldnt have made it due to money owed, and Tralee - well I can't explain their issue

LTID has already said he is only putting us so far ahead to wind up the rest on this. I certainly don't think we will walk it and neither do most Limerick fans. Most people are looking at it and saying the top three or four will most likely beat the bottom 4 more often than not meaning the top 4 could go the whole season only losing a handful of games like last year. It will come down to the games against each other, Limerick vs Longford, Longford vs Waterford, Waterford vs Limerick etc.... Whoever can come out of those the best will win the league in my opinion. Cork had the best record against the top teams followed by Monaghan, us and Shels (i think) and won the division in the end. Limerick don't usually do well when it gets tight at the top and certainly never do well as favourites in any game. We have arguably the strongest team but so did Fingal for two seasons, not getting promoted the first time and only going up through the playoffs the second time.
