I just hope we get drawn out to play in Ukraine rather than Poland - Donetsk preferably.
Looks like I've got my guide! :)

experience of multi-play off hell is paying off for the irish players. Too much too soon for estonia.. pity.. Ifeel for them. This is quite a kicking.

Yea, had we lost the silver lining would be it would be great for Estonia so I would not have felt so bad about it, I much rather send a 'big team' home.
Having said that there is still another leg to come, so don't count the chickens....

Estonia are the dumbest team of all time, was Hunt thinking about not going down for the pen last weekend

Well I think we can safely bag up those chickens now, if we lose this now the whole team deserves shooting!
Still feel a bit bad for Estonia though.
STAT ATTACK: Robbie Keane has now scored 17 times in all Euro qualifiers. Two goals shy of the record held by Turkey's Hakan Sukur and Denmark's Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Brilliant. Absouletely brilliant. Congrats to Traps management team and all the players. For all those too young to have lived through 1988 you are going to have the football experience of a life time because for me the Euro's is better craic than the World Cup.

Noely, I completely agree, but this is the last of the great Euros. Euro2016 with 24 is gonna suck.

Brother just sent me a text saying Trap in tears on RTE. Shows how much it means to him.

Will it be a full house on Tuesday nite with a party atmosphere, or will some people not bother now we are through?

As others have said I genuinely felt sorry for Estonia tonight, everything that could go wrong went wrong for them, and it's not going to be any easier for them on Tuesday night.

Great result and it's not often everything clicked for us on the night.
McGeady & Walters played well, Keane looked sharp despite only coming back from his injury and ....still cannot believe we have nearly qualified. I thought we'd win but didn't expect that.

If it's Ukraine I should be able to bypass their uber-capitalistic impulse to fleece the fyck out of the foreign horde and get local rates on tickets and accomodation. If it's Poland, nope.

Trap was very emotional and proud in the post match interview, it's been a long hard trail to get to this.
I was delighted that Ronnie (almost instantly) picked Andrews as motm, thoroughly deserved.
Tough on Estonia, that was a cruel experience for them.

Does anyone else thing Hunt learned a lesson from the weekend? He was clipped by the Wigan keeper when clean through, and elected to stay on his feet, so no penalty. Wigan went straight down the other end and scored, tonight he again was clipped and made sure to hit the deck!

11/11/2011, 9:43 PM
Yep, Andrews very good. Right up for it. Feel a bit for Estonia but, hey...
I think there's justifiable cause to nit pick despite the outcome but I still have this recurring thought: we are very adept at taking the lead in these kind of games. From then on Trap says "we're ahead, it's up to you now". Others might say it's time to press on, but I think there's just cause for saying "Trap knows". He just ****ing does.
Q: Is this our biggest ever away competitive win?
