Thought the same, but UCD start okay and have a solid side, Cork will go out not to lose first match back (albeit as a new club :-) ).

William Hill seem to have just league outright, they also have some interesting fixtures down for decision this friday :o

Have to say I think MTK Budapest II are decent value at those odds.

Finn Harps to beat Limerick 1-0 at THIRTY THREE TO ONE is worth €2 of anyones money.
UCD are way too big against Cork.
Would have fancied SD Galway at 2/1 away to Athlone aswell but they're missing Mickey Gilmore, who was one of the very few good things about Galway United last year if memory serves.
A Shamrock, Dundalk, Longford treble appears to be where it's at this weekend.

Amazing transfer coup by Roddy, signing up an entire underage international team. From what I understand, they're all working part-time in the new indoor ski centre in Clones.

Harps to win 2-0 is now 200/1....holy christ. I might go crazy with a few two euro bets just for the craic.

Reminds me of a bet a GUFC fan did for our opening game away to pats a few seasons ago, he had €2 on Derek O'Brien to score first & GUFC to win 3 nil, he got back over €900 for the bet

If I was having a punt on top scorer I'd back Patterson with Derry at 7/1.

The Waterford/Longford handicaps are nailed on!
They have to beat every other team - not just Limerick.
The real question is how motivated will Limerick be and if they've won the league by July will they just coast home?
Limerick will be favourites for every match they play in Division 1 this season.

That stood out for me too. Might throw a few small bets on before the weekend. Sligo or Pats in the betting without Shamrock Rovers is tempting. Might back the draw in Mervue-LTFC, we've a few injuries in defence.

Limerick, Pats, and maybe Wexford could be worth a look there at first glance. 4/7 on us definitely isn't value, the draw could be the call in that game.

Bray at 4/5 tonight could be money well spent. We're playing our under 19s as far as I know and they've been struggling in their league.

We are an even bigger price than we were at home to Sligo which is a bit odd considering Sligo are obviously more of a contender than Derry (indicated in their own outright odds) and our results in the 180 minutes that followed.

Drogs look a decent bet alright. Not sure if I'll back anything but I'd be looking at Drogs, Pats, "Shams", and maybe Harps and Longford.
Lump on Rovers. They'll stroll through our midfield and based on last weeks defensive performance we won't hold out long!

Drogs, Athlone, Shels/Rovers draw - a fiver treble earns €135 with PP.
Not out of the realms of possibility either.
Cork are a huge price considering Derry don't have Patterson this weekend. A few quid on a draw in that one too at 12/5 is tempting.

Pats look a very decent bet if you put them in a double or treble. UCD possibly too. I reckon LTFC-Waterford could be a draw.
Daryl Horgan is 50-1 to score first tonight. According to Ladbrokes odds, he's the least likely player, bar the goalies, to score......including half our subs.
Throwing a couple of euro on that

I think I saw somewhere that Horgan was a doubt for the game so that might be it. Hope he is match fit though, based on last week's game himself and Murray will probably be the two most important players for the club this season.
