Desmonds were the better outfit,Clare made 11 changes at half time but with the Limerick squad that has been picked I can't see Limerick having any problems

Dont understand your comment hasent the squad being picked and trained together. So if the lads dont want to play with the Oscar Traynor team why dident they pull out.

Have to agree with you there, Regional are easily one of the top 4 teams in Limerick for the past 6 or so seasons. For them to have no players in the squad is ridiculous. Kieran O'Connell at the very least should be in the squad.

so what do ye all think about the Limerick teams chances again this year. They can defo go one better than last year with the squad it seems surely. Any ideas on what the best team might be to start the first game. Is there any guys that have come through to make it stronger than last year?

regional hardly one of limericks top teams, none of their players seem to stay with them,is mullins even playing this season,o connell a very average player imo.surprised to see barry and tierney in the squad named if they have no interest playing.

well if finishing in the top 4 consistently for the last 6 years and reaching an FAI and MJC semifinals in the process not make you a top team I stand corrected.

I think he meant consistently winning not consistently getting to semi finals.

both tierney and barry played, both were very good as all the players were, really out classed clare in all areas of the field..a real attacking side this year

A very solid display by limerick.thought shane waters had a great game.mullins and chucka very strong in central defence. A very fast limerick side going forward with doyle, tierney and waters on the break.thought the 2 lads in centre mid for clare (eade and darcy,ex pike and shannon town) did well for 50mins but went out of game after that.don't think clare were that bad, they had afew decents chances.limerick in fairness though were strong and will take beating in the competition.can see them getting bags of goals

Totally agree with that. Shane Waters was very good. Clare had a few chances but Limerick dominated most of the play. The referee was average. Made a couple of strange decisions. Overall a decent game. Limerick look very strong...

good result for limerick, looks a strong team all round, neville made a good save at 1-0 but cant remember him having that much to do after that.waters was superb, thought he should have had a pen in the 2nd half.well worth the fiver in and a decent crowd there too.
