Right, it's gone 12 midnight here, so I'm off to bed. I'll wake up in the morning and scroll down through this thread, where I'll find posts recording an early goal for Limerick, another just before half-time, and a third around the hour as Shels are caught pushing forward. I'll find a big pile of money at the foot of the bed as well.

Pats beat us 1 nil.

Hard to be too disappointed. We were poor in the first half, had a decent spell in the second when we brought on Davin and Cummins but you could see the difference in level alright.

Thought we did alright overall though. Roll on the league run in.

We more than matched Pats, it was more of a smash and grab.

We had one cleared off the line just before they scored
Thought we had some great momentum after Graham and Dav came on but when we didn't score Pats killed off the game impressively. Some of the time wasting was to be expected but 4 minutes at the end?

Still a defeat is better than a draw.

Dundalk 0-0 Bohs. A few said it was an awful game but to be honest I enjoyed it. It was scrappy at times but both sides were up for it. Both sides defences did well hence the goalless draw. Surprise decsisons by Foster leaving Murphy and Byrne on the bench with McHugh moving to left back and Breen starting. Have to say both were the correct decisions. Overall it was an even game. Dundalk lacked a cutting edge in the final third, missing Kearns creativity. Quigley was our main threat and Brennan ran the show for Bohs.

Replay in Dalymount will be difficult for us.

Given the way it actually panned out, I assume you haven't been online today because the pile of money at the end of your bed actually turned out to be a pile of diamonds and supermodels.

Agree it would have sounded better with the back ground noise but the footage was great to be fair.

Well done Sligo. Sounds like a game either team could have won but Sligo were the ones who made it count. I'm sure people will say going out of the cup will be a blessing in disguise but this winless streak is not title-winning form.

Sligo were by miles the better team except for the first 15 minutes - could have been penalties at both ends but it would have been an injustice if shams got anything out of that game as we should have been out of sight.

Don't flatter yourself. The world is bigger than Cork you know.

Ye deserved your win tonight (just), but to go on and on every time ye play us that this is "our cup final" says more about your arrogance and annoyance over your loss of presumed football status than it does about us.

Do we like to beat you? Yes. But because of comments like the one above and not because its our "cup final". yawn.

Ahh jebus i dunno. Its really does seem like ye love the idea of getting one over on us. And its not since we dropped to the first div. More like when ye got promoted a few years back. And its not over results, its over a goal scored even though it might be after three for us. If one of our lads gets a yellow card its like christmas or something. To not say its like a cup final when ye play us is laughable :)

Cummins probably two clear after tonight, they don't add new games until a few days afterwards I think.

To be honest if you to the Bohs forum most of them are giving a fair overview of their own teams performance. Most say that Bohs were poor excluding Brennan, Heary and Quigley for us. Not to many talking about the ref though.

heres a few posts

Worst game I have been at in years

Dundalk didnt try play and we had absolutely no idea of how break them down

Win is a win I suppose

How **** was Quigley

Terrible stuff, Heary only one who had a decent game ,goal was lucky but good reaction from Bisto and what's up with Fenlan we were **** and didn't even get up off his seat and hardly clapped the crowd and his tactics were awful, Take the win and that's about it tonight

There were only three footballers on the pitch tonight - Killer, Heary and Quigley.

I've not seen such muck since I managed an under-11 team in their first year playing on a full-sized pitch. Aimless, badly executed ****e. Rossi was muck. Bayly was worse. Cronin was ****e. Burns and Price weren't too bad. O'Brien must have put in 10 crosses during the game, every ******* one of them overhit by a mile. We played well for the first three minutes, should have scored with two well-worked headers in that period - and then stopped. Murphy was by far the busier of the two keepers, yet Bohs had way more of the ball, even before the sending off.

We have a defence, no midfield, and no strikers. It's hoof and hope ******** - but there's the occasional flash of an ability to do better, that's really depressing. None of the players seem to trust anyone to make a decent pass, most of the time, so they're on their heels when the odd good one is played.

Noticed one occasion in the 2nd half where Rossi carried the ball forward from deep in his own half. When he was 10 yards over the halfway line, there were just two Bohs players ahead of him, and not another one within 30 yards. The rest of the team was just ambling out, instead of moving up and showing for the ball.

There is ability in the team but, for whatever reason, it seems afraid to show itself.
