Great game tonight, two fine sides. Thought balla would hold on at 3-2, all set for another cracker in semi final with probable pike - Boro. Well worth admission fee tonight. Fair play to both teams and officials

Pike Rovers 1-3 Janesboro

A deserved victory for Janesboro, featuring a towering man of the match performance from Wayne Colbert. Janesboro showed that the spine of their team is a match for any junior side, with Tom and Shane Clarke and Mike O'Gorman also having fantastic games. Shame that these two sides met so early in the Junior really.

Boro opened the scoring with a penalty after 15 minutes, earned and scored by the younger Clarke brother. Enright was the culprit. Pike equalised before half time with a penalty of their own however, when Boris Hanrahan tempted young right full Lee O'Mara into an unnecessary challenge on the edge of the box.

Boro got the second from a free kick midway through the second half - a brilliant strike from Tom Clarke. From then on you might have thought it would have been all Pike, but in fact Janesboro kept pushing on and held a high line until the last 5-10 minutes or so. Pike had what looked 5 up front by that point, with Boris and Enright thrown up there, but this led to the inevitable goal on the counter - Mike O'Gorman doing brilliantly to skin Pa Mullins before slotting past Neville in the Pike goal.

watched the pike v boro game yesterday have to say the whole boro team were outstanding ,Wayne Colbert was always in control in defence his vision for the game was a good 3 touches ahead of pikes fowards, boro midfield and forwards also outstanding clarke had pike defence at 2s and 3s,colbert was man of the match in a game that the whole team played well, dont no what happened to pike hopefully it was just an off day.

there is only one thing that hurts and that is when you have money in your pocket but cant go for a pint as you are minding the kids..(it is only junior soccer at the end of the day.pay a babysitter with some of the money in your pocket.

Its crazy really when you think that the Tuohy Cup is a simple format of a 12 team tournament, yet the LDMC have still somehow managed to shag it up.

Janesboro are in the final, yet there are still a 1/4 final and Semi final matches to be played..................typical

Carew park 2 fairview 1, Dermot o shea 2,

EXcellent result for carew one down after 25mins Christy Doyle header. first half was the poorest carew have been all season we were woeful equalizer came on the stroke of half time when a well worked corner was pulled across the box for o shea fired home. 2nd half carew upped the gears and went ahead on 68mins when a sublime run and cross from jamie o Sullivan finished off with a fantastic volley into the top corner carew had a few half chances to kill the game off but failed to do so it was backs to the walls in last 15mins but with the outstanding mark keane and mark slattery defended brilliantly. IN injury view had a corner a Jon Grant header close range heading to the top corner when Gordon unbelievably tipped over in prob the best save iv ever seen from anyone how he got to it ill never know the view lads applauded it. SEmi final v corbally

Bit of a shock tonight, fair play to corbally but Carew must be kicking themselves. Great chance to make a final!

Watched the game tonight and to be honest Corbally were full value for their win. They batteled extremely well and played good football at times. They had the better chances and Steward proved once again why he is one of the best goalkeepers in town by saving 3 - 4 on on ones. Will be a difficult final for them but good to see a club like them go forward .

Think that is a bit harsh on Carew bud.they have a good young side but lastnight was just our night.it was a battle of a game where we never gave up.we now need to bring the type of performance we gave last night into our league games.best of luck to Carew for rest of season.they are having there best league season in a while so to say there not good enough isn't fair I think

Fully agree. Carew were shocking to say the least wrong attitude from the off. corbally were excellent and could of had a FEW more they ran themselves into the ground to a man this should give them a huge boast in the league. best of luck to corbally in the final really like to see them win it out

Fair play to the boro, hope they can go on and win munster junior now. They have an excellent side up there, plenty of strength on the bench aswell. Special mention for conor lynch, heard he had a great game in clonmel and scored with his first touch friday night. Rolling back the years!!!
