Good point Dixie their is a few rules in fai and aul handbook on such things will have to do some research on it but it could happen that as your example Park if they do go up msl their 2nd team could be forced to play in the prem by aul law and fai too but I will do some digging but I will do some digging and re read rules and see what I come up with

whats happens then if they decide to put their 2nd team into the junior league in the msl???

did hubba wake from his dream or was the fella he was talking to in fantasy land ,old manager returned and had 4 points from 15 after 5 league games now it may

have increased since ,they were also after knocking out the holders before he came back and had two first division teams to beat on route to final. the best team in aul is by far park united and the double is firmly in their sights,

Why would these teams leave to play in a Junior League, their 2nd strings I'd imagine, yes, not their first teams

Do you mean they are going to MSL and MJL with their second teams?

They can reach 40 points max, so they can still win it, but going off recent form that might not happen

The premier league will be over and done with by tuesday week, cant see coachford winning there next 3 away games, should beat knockavilla but think they will struggle against Blarney St and Wilton. Honestly they should have not beat us the other night, Caught us on the hop with an early goal, warm up wasnt the greatest as we arrived at 6.30 for 6.45 kick off. They dont have much of a goal threat and Lucy will be missing for at least 3 games, i would expect more after his carry on the other night, big loss for them!!

Get a grip bluey.caught ye on the hop?.take off the blinkers man!!.coachford are a solid team who deserve to be given credit.their defence has been superb this season hence their 1-0 win,and for a team with no goal threat they had 100% of the goals the other night.you should be on here slating your own lot,not knocking Micky welshs team

Have to agree with the defence comment chief, outside of the keeper having a mare in the aoh semi, they have the best defence in the prem league. Micky has done a great job since he took over there. Didnt see the game Bluey but have seen ye a few times this season and in general ye have performed well except for in front of goal where yere goals to chances ratio must be up there with Liverpool!!

Well Mr Killumney aka Billythefrog, Any fool could see your involvement with Killumney as you did not disguise yourself very well in your first couple of posts!! Aside from that, ive explained what happened before and am not going over it again. Anything you write is hearsay or is coming from Mick Sheehan as he and i were the only two involved in the final "discussion". What he has decided to tell ye is all you know and to be honest i couldnt give the proverbial at this stage. Just hope i make a few bob on my bets over the next week or so!

This is a very sensible thing to do...i remember a few years back temple utd had in my opinion one of the best youths team I ever saw...wiped the floor with teams from under 17 and youths...they got to semi final of the fai youths cup and semi of munster youths cup only to be beat by a very strong bohemiens and limerick fc....i remember at the time there was talk of them entering a team in the mjl to prevent the players from breaking up..they had a very strong msl team and a strong aul junior team at the time....they failed to enter that team and the youths broke up....at the time temple were onto something big with all the teams.....a far cry from what they are today im.afraid....great decision by leeds to enter another team

How annoying is it seeing teams getting the results like they are this weekend, Kinsale winning 8 nil against Macroom, Castleview hitting Kanturk for 7, Springfield hitting 5 past Leeds, its very frustrating to see teams get easy games like that at the business end of the league, im not taking away from the teams that won but in fairness how are these results a fair reflection on the league, with these teams putting that little effort into games, Aul must do something to stop this as it turns the league into a bit of a joke.

And what do you propose the AUL do . Teams hungry for wins playing against teams with nothing to play for. Do you honestly expect some guy from Macroom or whoever is going to stay in on a weekend to play against Kinsale when they have NOTHING at all to play for?

To be honest we tried,it wasn't a 7-0 game,2 pens nd 2 comical ogs.we lost our keeper nd few players to gaa, which is frustrating.its hard to keep goin.travellin to Cobh Tuesday night,I'm sure castleview nd pearse won't be looking out for result!!but we have 1 or 2 back so hopefully wel give it a good go!its a fair point looking from the outside in,every year it happens.8-0,7-0 in may a lot...but dont think anything can be done

Radiostar
06/05/2012, 7:13 PM
That's my point Freddie, nothing to play for, maybe keep a cup competition till end of season, or try and keep the number of games played by teams as close as possible instead of some teams having played 7/8 games more than others, I know it's easier said than done but it happens every year.

overthehill
06/05/2012, 8:18 PM
Understand your frustration Radio when you are up there challenging and are hoping teams will give your rivals a hard game, but this goes on every year. For a long time Kinsale through no fault of their own only for being succesful in local and national cups were playing catch up in the league and often played teams who had not played for weeks at the end of the season. I think it was a mistake to move the Mossie Linnane to the start of the season when you could get 4-5 league games in. Also the AUL should look at giving prem/prem a teams a bye in the early rounds of the AOH. Okay you get the rare upset but some of the cricket scores you get are crazy and a waste of time. I dont think anyone can get the perfect scenario, but suggestions from clubs should be looked at.

Radiostar
06/05/2012, 9:23 PM
Exactly Overthehill, there has to be solutions, even when setting fixtures from January when most Leagues are taking shape, the early contenders could be fixed to play the teams who don't look like challenging, and keep all the remaining games between the contenders until the end of season at least that way the games at the end of the season will be someway competitive.

shetland
06/05/2012, 9:32 PM
to be fair this is something that happens in every league no matter what level.mid table teams have no chance of promotion .wont be relegated ,a long weekend, etc some teams barely have a team at this stage of season.some battle now between the three teams in premier A,pearse ,castleview,springfield.2 from 3 to go up.think the third team will end up there as well with teams going senior,.
