If i were you shilts i would nt be taking much notice of anyone s opinion, with the number of leagues your team has won. Are you a playing member of that team as a matter of interest.Lads don't get upset because I posted my opinion on here. I'm not the 1st to do it and won't be the last. Not once did I ever say Kinsale were a bad team. Shilts just to let you know, I know exactly what Kinsale's record is. But can't see it continuing this year....

Spoken like someone with a lot of medals in his back pocket??
Or have you played with teams that have given Kinsale a good spanking down the years??
Who are you involved with by the way, lawdyboy??
So that we can all bow the knee to your superior football knowledge/ability:ball:
Shilts just ta let yah know I have a bigger medal than most people on this:)

Sounds like your an ex Greenmount player Lawd. Only other teams to have recently won the MJC were Passage and Leeside and as far as i am aware neither won the Premier 3 times. Unless your jumping from club to club.

Is the Munster Junior League Medal a MSL Junior Premier League Medal or a MFA Munster Junior Cup Medal.
Big difference I think!!!

Lawd I'm with Castleview. Don't play anymore. Nice stash of medals but I'm ok don't need a look. I've seen my club colleagues medals, some have 4 AOH medals, 2 MJC medals and a few league titles. I don't have many Junior medals as I played senior mostly. If you want I can show you my Senior Premier & 1st div. league medals.

As far as I am aware Derek McCarthy has no intention of playing with the AUL team which is a shame. Brendan Hurley has left Kinsale and the lad Jeffers was there last night. Who else would you have from Kinsale Shilts? Yes Hill there were 9 changes made last night & there were a few new faces that weren't provisionally listed on the squad. I think there were 2 Greenwood lads that came on & another from Killumney. There was no Gettings, Keane and Keegan from what I could see.

The AUL manager's job is hard enough without me posting "I want that player on, or this player off".
We'd all pick different teams if we were in charge.
BUT we're not in charge!
If no Kinsale player gets selected, I might raise an eyebrow and say "what about x, y or z???"
But he's the manager and like with Trapp, we wish him well, even if we don't agree with everything he does.
So good luck and best wishes to Niall and the Cork AUL team in their upcoming games!!!

I would take David O'Callaghan out and replace him with the fella Jack from Leeside.
I would also take Cian Blake out and replace him what the guy that plays centre field for Park. Not sure of his name, very strong, fit guy, very good in the air. Would compliment Daly in the middle.
If Derek Mac was available i'd definitely have him in, maybe for Delea.

I think thats Dave Dineen Pacman who your talking about, serious player. He s involved with GAA in Mitchelstown at the moment though so could nt see him playing with Aul team. Blake a very good player though and him and Daly know each other inside out. Two excellent wingers there also. McCarthy a big loss if he does nt play.
Knockavilla have a very good player left footed guy who plays in the middle with them, also seen him play in defence, he ld be an outstanding left back. Not too sure of his name.

Weak 11 shetland?? From what i can see from what was there that night its easily the best 11 available, Cro on goal is easily the best keeper in the AUL, at the moment babsy is a no brainer as is kearney, daly delea shane o neill and holden are all top class players and would start everytime, throw in rob walsh and the likes of the chap keegan ricky gettings and graeme keane thats no bad team.. Im really interested to see who you'd pick instead???? You CANT pick the likes of Derek McCarthy if they dont wanna play so his name shouldnt even be mentioned...
Why dont youthrow your 11 together for us there shetland im really intrigued, just seems like you have a thing against that team and manager for a few years now...

Read my post again Lawd, I said Jeffers(he is from Kinsale in case you didn't know) was brought on & Derek Mc was also meant to be there. I know as well as everyone on here that he is 1 of the best players in the AUL but if the lad doesn't want to play what can you do? Kinsale would have 3 on the team if Brendan didn't leave & Derek decided to play. That would be fair enough IMO. Everyone has an opinion & that's fine but don't come on here & say something when you don't know the facts.

I'm not contradicting myself at all. You made a point that there was no Kinsale player there. If you took the time to read the posts then you would see that there was a Kinsale player there & there should have been 2 if the other player had turned up. That's why I said what i said. Plus don't think Brendan went on to better himself either, he think he went to play with his hometown club.

Gettings will have a big influence on that team this year I feel. Keane, don't know what his story is, good player tho and finally Keegan, handy centre back, likes to take too much out the ball and prob not good enough for A.U.L team... IMO!!!!

mario its about oppinions ,its no secret my grievences with aul set up.results results come to mind.goal keeper prob the best around , but not in same class as hurley ,or the italian lad of two years ago. a few like kearney and shane o neill would be in anybodys team .mc carthy should be no 1 striker and i thinlk the blackstone lad would compliment him.last years strikers were one dimentional and one in particular relies on speed far to much.its ok in local games but when the defenders off opposition are as quick, then there is no plan b.what ever the story with mcarthy ,he is a complete alround very good striker. the cork aul management comittee have a lot to answer for in the way they manage this league some are there far to long ,new blood needed.how a comittee could stay intact with the money that went missing.and they keep appointing a looseing manager,

An impressive performance by the visitors and it took two late goals to seal our passage through to the next round. We went one up after 25, it was one all at the break after a penalty. 2 one to the visitors before 2 super strikes late on sealed the game for the home side. Tough game, glad to be through.

was at this game for a look shetland. leeds were well worth the win and the football played for the second goal was fantastic.
not sure if blarney were down a few or what. it was a very good game with lots of football from both teams helped by a lovely morning and a beautiful surface.
leeds are very strong when they have everyone available but the trouble with them (like most teams) is one week they could have 12 available and the next week 18 to tog out.
from one week to the next there can be as many 6-7 changes depending on availabilty.
a fella doyle was very influential in the middle of the park for leeds.

SHETLAND McCarthy doesn't want to play for the AUL so how can he be picked?? And Hurley is playing senior football which means he CAN'T play for the AUL team how is that the managements fault?? And crow ( the goal keeper ) is every bit as good as Hurley he was with our club for 9-10 years and only fell in on goal 3 years ago over an injury and ended up staying there!!
We'd all pick diff teams tho I suppose Niall Collins. From us was supposed to go out there but couldn with work and college and the likes also David lynch our centre half I tho was always unlucky not to get a call aswell!!

Kinsale and Wilton must be delighted with that draw:mad:, great game in store. Kilumney and Macroom another to see a prem team to go, happy with our draw, all you can hope for is a home draw. Leeside going to Midleton, fancy them to get a good run in the FAI this year considering they are out of Aoh.

FAI UMBRO CUP 2nd Round
SPRINGFIELD A 3 - 0 CROSSHAVEN FC
By no means the greatest performance we ever gave, and prob wasn't the greatest game to watch!.
Made a few changes to starting 11 to make use of our squad size. Never got outta second gear, Crosshaven had maybe 2 half chances but other than than that the majority of chances and possession was all Springfields.
After going 2up, game really resembled a training match then, . . . Notable for 2goals for one lads on his first game for the club.
Anyway what counts is we are into the next round.
On the draw above - anybody have any info on 'Marlboro', what league they are in and where/location the play in Cork?

I believe that they are in the Business League
We played the Business League Champions, Tile King, last week and beat them 8-1.
The standard of this league is much lower than the top AUL divisions it seems
I would expect any Prem or Prem A team to have no trouble
As for our own draw with Wilton?
Looking forward to what should be a great game.
These are the games you want to be involved in, not mismatchs where you win 8-1 :ball:

No easy teams in the semis but Carrick and Pike were the ones to avoid.
We are probably the Estonia of the draw though ;)
Glenvale 3 - Kilreen Celtic 0
Very disapointing performance from us Sunday morning in the match of the week. Went 1 down in the first minute, not marking men from a corner. Stayed that way until half time. Glenvale scored another header midway through second half. Caught us on the break with about 15 left, striker took down by our stand in keeper, penalty converted. Dont think we tested their keeper once. Shocking display but onwards and upwards i suppose.

I've been away with work so i missed a few posts - Shetland - you were asked by booboys who else you would have in the team , you keeping goin over this rubbish about McCarthy. everyone knows how good he is but he just doesnt want to play. The keeper Alberto you were referring to and hurley were the best around in junior football in cork hence there moves to Senior Football . If Hurley didnt go to Bandon he may have went to Avondale .Springfield looking very good as usual and should be tipped to go upSeems there isnt too much difference now between the top 3 divisions outside of the Kinsales/Wilton and leesides of this world as some of the recent cup results have shownhave many teams lost players to Australia or what??

Any predictions for the Oscar Traynor game v MSL Juniors next week??
I reckon we'll win easily.
Maybe by more than the 4-1 last year.
Remember, Tipp beat the MSL 4-0 already, so we need to score goals to ensure we only need a draw against Tipp to go through.
Good vibes this season as Kinsale have beaten Douglas Hall, and Wilton have beaten Rockmount, among other good results for our clubs.
The AUL should have too much for the MSL Juniors every year.

Shetland, Freddies post just reminded me of a point I wanted to make. You mentioned the AUL and the lost money. From my knowledge, they just trusted a guy in the same way you would trust the now manager of Kilumney. The blame lies with the person who broke the trust.
