Would be a waste really he wouldnet get anywhere near that team.
Only reason i could see em signing him is if they were trying to get Tierney down with him.
Wha t age is Pa McGarry does anyone know?

Sheedy and McGarry trained with Limerick so id say Pa could sign.

If Pa McGarry did sign I'd say it might only be for the summer and then go back to fairview which would be grand cause we need another centre back at the moment.

Can anyone tell me about Pa McGarry? I've never heard of him! Any word of a experienced, tough centre midfielder being brought in? I read in another thread about Boland coming back. Is there any new information/rumour on that?

He will be back trining with us soon if he stays fit he will be playing he is signing as a player/coach anyway so will be tried out in a few games.
Has been playing non-league in England so hopefully can stay fit this time.

Centre Back with Fairview and was with Pike before that. Has Irish International Junior Caps. One of the best players in Limerick for a good while.

Sure isn't Pat Purcell around the same age. Shouldn't be an issue if he's there to fill a gap. And at the moment with the injuries. He'd be a nice stop gap.

I'd be very very surprised if pat mcgarry signed for Limerick,he wouldn't like being a squad player, and I think he has a tournament any way coming up with the Irish Amateur team abroad and afaik he is in that squad.his gaa club has been relegated in both codes so I couldn't see that as being a problem.handy player though.

Barry Sheedy is definetly signing,Limerick will make a few bob off him.watch this space, this fella could be another Shane long,he's that good, and I'm being dead serious here lads.just ye wait and see.

colbert one of the best players pike had this season, was the same with athlone.Do idetect a bit of resentment from bluewhitearmy.Dont think cork would pose much of a problem to him very solid back and midfield player.

Wayne is definitely good enough, probably a better player than Greg O'Halloran at this stage and would be an ideal fit for that role in the Cork team imo. Should have been kept at Limerick aswell when you consider that earlier in the season we tried Peter White, Calla and Broughall in that sitting infront of the back four role before finally scrapping it.
He'd be pretty highly rated around the league aswell I'd say, I remember three games against Dundalk in Oriel Park where he absolutely ran the show, was the talk of their bar afterwards.
Having said all that Cork are supposedly all out for Joe Gamble so if they are actually interested in Wayne maybe it's as a Plan B??
bluewhitearmy
03/06/2011, 12:36 AM
No resentment at all why would there be id love to have Wayne back.
No way is he better then Morissey or Duggan in the middle of Corks midfield though i had forgot they play O Halloran holding he is better then him alright.
Bit of a difference between Pike Athlone and Cork though.

Just a friendly note...keep this topic sensible, no ridiculous rumour or innuendo, be able to back up your sources or infractions will be handed down, and please don't turn it into a junior v senior farce thing again.
Thanks

Keith Harnett praising Pa Mullins in todays Star, he has said Pa is the best junior player he has ever played with and he is only 21. He mentions Limerick where after him. Wonder if we still are? He thinks he is up to Premier LOI level.

Did McGarry play a pre-season game with Limerick a few years back or am I imagining things? Possibly against Bray (or Dublin City) in Jackman?

Ya he played in Jackman alright. It was the first season we where back in Jackman as Limerick 37. He has played a few times in a tournament for the Irish Junior International team during the summer and that has always had an affect on him signing along with other things I'm sure.
I would be surprised if he does sign to be honest. He could just be training with the team for the moment. A lot of players train but don't sign in the end.

If Limerick are after Pa Mullins we could do with him asap. Especially with Calla out for the rest of the season and Purcell out for Shels.

Would be a pity to see him sign for a Dublin side. I would think it would mean going straight to the premier which would be understandable. If it is another first division team it will be a balls though.

A few more signings.
Cian Collins (Granville Rangers)
Colin Daly (Fairview Rangers)
Oliver O'Driscoll (St Michael's AFC)
Darragh Rainsford (Fairview Rangers)
More U19's I take it. If even 1 or 2 can come straight through like O'Leary last season it will be great.

Behan set to sign for Limerick (http://www.extratime.ie/newsdesk/articles/5870/behan-set-sign-limerick/), according to Tommy Dunne.
Also a dig about our attendance in relation to the 65% wage cap.

No more supposed figures about what Behan is or isn't being offered by the club. There's no way to back it up and I don't want to hear it. Bans will follow if this continues
