That was Towell I believe. Ireland have been playing better since going down to ten men. Might be worth a punt if things aren't going well tomorrow? Duffer's always good for an injury.

The game was lost and Quirke was just trying to get the ball upfield for one last strike.

Bad end to the game considering we dominated most of it.
Positives? We have some good passers and defenders.

As geysir said, the game was over. Not so much of a deal. Should have put his foot through it - the Portuguese guy sliding in was second best until Quirke pulled out.

Irish teams trying to play for draws never works. After an excellent first half. Still think that team can do well when there won't be a rake of substitutions.

terrible ending to the game, despite playing well the team never deserved to lose 2-0.
their opening goal was excellent, and possibly the first save Quirke had to make, for the second it looked like he was trying to jump out of the tackle, and then got rounded to concede.

I think he was trying to flick the ball over the tackle and just botched it completely.
