I was going to scoff at you referring to Mason as a wonderkid, but then checked his record - 3 Championship goals at the age of 18, two decent seasons at Cardiff before turning 22, with 18 goals and a Championship winner's medal - if Troy Parrott did that over the next four years we'd still consider him to have great potential. Mason just never seemed to develop beyond that.
Yeahh hahaha, this Mason is made of glass, he was even hired by the Wolves when they reached promotion, sad thing for Ireland and himself, Leon Best was another injury prone.
Ireland cant afford losing forwards because of injuries, that is a luxury for the big nations with hundreds of pool of players to choose from

3 difficult goals to score, but his 2nd is also a thing of beauty.

Is this him? Anyone want to update his article?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Mason_(footballer,_born_1991)thats Joe!the guy is like the tin can man from the Wizard of Oz, very fragile Mason has always been a classy player, his position is a second striker, better to link up with a tough #9 like Collins, Hogan. It showed his class, with that hattrick in 27 minutes, but Mason has a tendency of dribble too much for a forward!

Came off the bench in the Canadian premier league final for Calvary, but was unable to prevent a loss to Forge FC

He's out of contract and will be moving on. Cavalry FC will be in the CONCACAF Champions League despite the loss in the playoff final this past weekend. There's actually a chance they could wind up hosting Messi and Inter Miami in February, when the weather is -30C.
