Obviously Wexford-Shels.

Anyway, here's highlights of Shels' match away to Crettyard United for those of you who are interested.

St Patricks Athletic v Athlone Town

could be fate we played Athlone at home the last time we won the trophy, happy with the draw.

Video showed in some ways the call for Provincial Cups, giving the smaller clubs a chance against bigger teams.
Doubt details of attendance would be revealed but certainly looked a few hundred, and probably more than Crettyard get normally.
Creditable performance from Crettyard.

Absolutely nothing I can find anywhere on the two remaining Quarter Final matches due to be played 'before 30 April 2011'!
Killester United v Willow Park
Bohemians v Shamrock Rovers

Wexford Youths v Shelbourne is apparently now to be played on 13 Jun at Tolka Park - is that confirmed?

Leinster FA don't seem to be following their own competition ... see the "latest" on leinsterfa.ie

Does anyone care about this competition?

You know the answer to that.

For Rovers, for example, it's the 6th most important competition this year...

Game has not been played yet and no official word on when it might be (as far as I know). There was some (supposedly ironic:eek: ) posts on our forum about the game been played in secret - as a response to the lack of clarity around when it might be played.

So now we have:

QUARTER FINALS:
St Patricks Athletic 3-0 Athlone Town
Killester United 4-0 Willow Park
Wexford Youths v Shelbourne Now 13 Jun, Tolka Park
Bohemians v Shamrock Rovers
Matches were to be played by 30 April

Two results, one date and a blank. Emphasis added by me: anyone got a calendar? Must be due to fixture congestion, I suppose.

It's actually quite an interesting competition, with two Premier, one First Division and one non-League semifinalist. That in itself should attract a little attention - but it most likely won't.

Never mind, the Shadow never sleeps. We'll get them all eventually - semi-final draw will be posted somewhere, probably after the first one has been played ...

PS: still looking for any early round results missing from here (http://www.braywanderers.com/showarticle.php?id=645#LSC), any help would be much appreciated!

It was fixed for Wexford but got postponed and moved to Tolka but no reason was given. Suppose it was Wexfords choice.
Anyway we won 6-0 tonight so thats us into the semis. Very comfortable win in a match we completely dominated. Nice confidence boost before Limerick on Friday.

dont think so.. There was no mention of this game in the sun so it has to be the leinster senior cup. Noel O'Connor mentioned somethin about being in Tolka Park on MNS earlier for the cup draw!

It was an LSC tie.

In the league we played in Ferrycarrig on 30/05 and we're not due to play them again until 03/09.

As much as I would have loved it to be a league tie after that result, it was definitely in the lsc.

What would make you think that wasn't going to be the case anyway?

from Dalyer tonight

Bohs: Sexton, O'Reilly, Barker, Lopes, Feely, Keely, Burke, Hurley, Downes Forrester, McEvoy
Subs: Murray (gk), Folwer, Lodola, Corcoran, Chambers, Seery, Byrne

Rovers: Thompson, Gannon, Flynn, Murray, McCormack, Shannon, Turner, O'Donnell, Kavanagh, Kelly, O'Neill
Subs: Hughes, Forrester, McGrath, Murphy, Comerford, Moffatt, Doyle

If a Rovers fan gave you that figure you could probably take about 200 off that

Strong team out for Rovers, just shows their strength in debt

1-0 to Rovers at half time by the way.

this from the text commentary - tut tut:

07:47pm Bohs will be attacking the Shed End second half. The Rovers fans are very amused by some of their fans who ran unto the carpark to 'confront' the 3 garda there. The 30 or so fans retreated with amazing alacrity.

about 120 or so Rovers fans there in total according to the commentators. Still a good showing.

08:10pm What a goal!!!! Forrester reverse pass to Downes who made a great run down the right. He floats it in and McEvoy catches a left foot volley at the back post! 1-1

09:12pm YES!!!!!!!!! Feely nods on to Corcoran who gives it back and Feely smashes it in off the underside of the crossbar. The Rovers 'fans' don't like it and are on the pitch. 116 minutes gone and it's 2-1 Bohs

09:13pm The Rovers fans up to their usual antics. I wonder if the FAI will take action this time?

That HT game was great

As were Flynn's tackles and the speed with which the Bohs fans ran away after invading the pitch. I never knew men could run that fast :D

Edit: another highlight was the extent that Bohs are into recycling - even old tickets...I got a Portadown one with a hastily scratched 5 over the price from the 21st February...some others were from April and one from January. :D

on a more relevant note, it must sting a little to see a team with quite a few experienced first teamers get given the run around by a team of kids and amateurs. :)

but yeah, i know, it was only the LSC etc etc MON fielding a strong enough team means he wasnt taking the game seriously etc etc...

As this is a football forum PC perhaps you can keep your "who chased who" and "who had chavvier tracksuits " for your BEBO page :)

Decent game, always some interest when we play our bitterest rivals even in a realitively minor competition. more experienced starting X1 for shams more of a reflection of their stronger squad than any great desire to win the LSC and they certainly started the stronger with younger Bohs team taking time to settle. Decent match and both sides probobly not too unhappy, shams wont miss potential future fixtures and Bohs gave a good run out to younger players who will benifit from the experience (even a small Bohs/shams attendance is an experience for young players:)).

Not much running around being given by Bohs in the first half when the first teamers were playing or until Rovers were down a man. Obviously in extratime, even a team like Bohs can make use of an extra player...so with 10 men and at least 5 sets of back four during the game, it doesn't sting at all. Sorry about that :)

Wow, your first team can compete with an amatuer X1 ? You must be so proud ;) As regards the 10 men - perhaps get Myler an abbacus so he can keep track of substitutions

Also at the game last nite and seen Killester Utd management, heard they play Bohs in Semis. If this is true then its

Killester V Bohs
Shels V Pats

Rovers started with the 6 subs from Sundays game + Chris Turner + 2 KIds + 2 Reserves. If thats their strength in depth the rest of the league has a chance as they were very poor against a Bohs Reserve/Kids team.Gary O Neill couldnt hit a barn door at the moment and indeed both teams strikers were ineffective.Bohs would appear to have a lot of good young Kids coming thru.

What it proved to me ,at least is that Murray,O'donnell & GON does not equal strength in depth
I would also concur that bohs kids merited the victory.
Mylers folly with the subs may prevent his step up to assistant.
We move on.
