McDermott played for the reserves last night, but came off at half time. No reason given in the article on the official site - http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Match-reports/2011/January/City-EDS-v-Newcastle

Rumours from the rags. The transfer window is nearly closed. Robbie to West Ham (no surprise!), Shay to Spurs ( big surprise), Westwood to Newcastle and possible recruit O'Hara on loan to Wolves - this would be a good move for both Wolves and O'Hara.

why have wolves not gone for at least one defender? mccarthy always seems to be blind to certain things.
Spurs have also put in a £4m bid to sign Manchester City keeper Shay Given.

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is also making a £6m bid to sign Wigan's 20-year-old midfielder James McCarthy.

Both would appear to be positive moves?? Particularly the Given move. Tomorrow could be interesting. Certainly need Keane to move and would be helpful if one or two others did as well i.e. Given, Whelan.

I think you will find he was joking gastric. you were the first with the robbie to west ham, or at least first with some sort of a source anyway to back it up. That kind of stuff is always appreciated on this site.

Thanks Paul. I am only carrying on too! Sometimes when it gets a bit quiet on here, it's good to liven things up!

Great move if it transpires.. Didn't think they could afford his wages. Ken Early has mooted that move for a bit...

Would love to see Sledge get a move to an EPL or top championship club.
