Sure what would they need a rugby player for? To life Pedro on corners?

Dont know, but I do know 2 NI residents who will be.

Do any of them have SF, CM or CD as their initials?

yeah, i dont see why not. Its not libellous and, unless you were told by the players in question, in confidence, then you have nothing to worry about.

Judge signs for Notts County. Disappointing to see a player that had his potential drop down to League One.

Here's the report from the Rochdale game mentioned in that article: http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Match-reports/2011/January/City-EDS-v-Rochdale-reserves
McDermott was involved in the opening goal

The lively Donal McDermott found space on the left to cross for Guidetti whose header struck the bar, but the rebound fell kindly for Nimely who was on hand to tap home.

From Sky Sports : West Ham boss Avram Grant has confirmed that he is interested in bringing Tottenham striker Robbie Keane (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6663124,00.html) to Upton Park. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will not let Keane leave on loan, so a £5million deal could be on the cards.

Keanes Birmingham fee agreed,
I imagine the deal is still in its infancy, Robbie will be shrewd about his contract negotiations
considering it will likely be his last big money wage deal.

Not having a go at you joe personally, but that is a load of ballicks from Robbie Keane if there's any truth to that. . Robbie, at this stage and at the nth move of his career, having had pretty good wages for the best part of 5 years now, needs to focus on the best footballing move for him now, not financial.
Kenny Cunningham pointing out that Birmingham might not be the best move for him due to their liking of a single guy up front. Fair point.

I agree, Robbie is set up for life and doesn't need the money. But contracts are about more than money sometimes, he'll be looking for as long a deal as he can secure and probably have a get out clause based on relegation. He doesn't want to up sticks to Birmingham and then find them in the championship next year and no longer able to afford his wages.

No...I'm not even sure he is eligible. He played for England U-19s and has a Danish grandmother. People here tend to be right though about whether players are eligible.

Anyway this article gave a list of players who are eligible for us. Kevin Nolan's name is there as well though.
