You can't really blame him for not solving two practically insoluble problems!

Huh??
What are you saying? That none of the US's foreign policy was not based on paranoia of their hawks, who attacked (or wanted to) everywhere they thought was hiding or supportive of Al Qaeda/OBL, regardless of the natives views??
Because it was. And even people like Donald Rumsfeld has admitted such, though he phrased it rather differently!

He never said he would withdraw them from Afghanistan. He said he would withdraw them from Iraq and increase the troop numbers in Afghanistan. He even said he was going to go into West Pakistan and attack them there as well. It was mentioned in one of the TV debates with McCain, who even as a military hawk said he wouldn't even do that! But Obama was honest what he was going to do, even if I disagree with it.

Fair enuff. my mistake as I meant Iraq
Lads we are now March 2011 and the first primaries are at the end of this year. Right now no-one has any idea who is going run for the Republicans. That means one thing and one thing only. Right now they don't think he is beatable
He may become beatable - but as of right now nobody serious is running
