I'm soo happy! Thank you Dillonman

To reach a point of ecstasy could you arrange for Peter Cherrie, Faz, Tom Miller, Stephen McDonnell, and Matthew Tipton to be added that list please?

Great news on Maher. With Madden staying, I'd say that'll mean Shaun Kelly will be moving on. He's not a Foster signing and has been treated pretty unfairly in my opinion, especially seeing as he was played at left back (not his natural position) for a lot of the time when he actually was lucky enough to be in the team. A move to Sligo perhaps for him seeing as he's from the north-west?

Near enough the time JD re-signed. Don't think the club announced it, nothing new there I suppose.

I would hope Shaun K would stay and fight his way into the side, excellent young player, great attitude, popular with the fans, but its all down to the budget and i would reckon he will look too move on.

Absolutley. We have a lot great young prospects at the club and I would also like to see Shaun stay but I cant see him in Fozzies plans tbh.

Why on earth do you think that? Because he trained with Galway for a few days last February?

I can't imagine that Galway will be offering anyone decent money next season. Oh and they have a top class right back in Seamus Conneally.

And Galway fans will thank you both for thinking that they will be in the top division next season.

Conneally would be a welcome addition on the Carrick Road.............................................. ....

Not surprised. Turned us down last year as he got a better offer from Derry. Would imagine this has improved since they were promoted.

He was a decent player for us. He played a lot after he arrived, and then just disappeared, never got a game. It's a shame because I thought he was a handy player who always gave his all.

He missed a few games towards the end of the season because of his GAA commitments with St Finbarrs.

Stephen McDonnell is certainly one to watch for 2011. After returning home from Celtic last season he really only figured in the 2nd half of the season making about only 9 league appearances. He scored Dundalks goal-of-the season, and notched his first for the Under-19 international side in October against Luxumbourg, while also being honoured as up the FAI player of the season in the under-17 interational category. While he needs to add some additional strength to his physique, he has great potential. Just turned 18 years, it should be interesting to see him line up alongside U-21 international Daniel Kearns (also 18 years)
http://dundalkfc.com/news/101202_McDonnell.asp

Its also encouraging to see 3 local lads being rewarded with their first professional contracts. Marc Griffen, Nathan Murphy and Johnny Breen were all in the squad last season (Murphy and Breen enjoyed reasonable game time). Despite the economic difficulties and pressure on budgets it is good to see investment in the future -
