I thought Colm Tresson was going to retire now! what age is he now?I saw an earlier picture of him twenty yrs ago in a bray wanderers shirt and I wouldnt have recognised him at all. I saw his picture in the new book out now on the 25 yr anniversary of bray wanderers...
I'd imagine that he's been kept on more to help the younger lads with the shining example of professionalism Daz has always shown. Id be suprised if he gets much game time other than in the A championship

Feeney played alot as striker with Sligo's A league side too. Good player, presumably going to be in a coaching capacity at the club too?

Just saw that today, great news for the club.
Re-sign Boco and we have the vast majority of last seasons squad.
Combined with 3 or 4 new lads and we have a decent squad for next season.

What kind of season had he for ye. Did he play much?
Started off the season really well, good player. Didnt play as much towards the end, but defs a player capable of doing it in the Premier

yeah he played up front and centre half at times too. was very good centre half imo in the run he got in the first team in mid 2009. our best player out in albania at centre half.
he has a quality touch, good football brain and is a very good coach too so maybe he'll be involved with the A team or something too

When he came into first team initially we were in the first division he looked a really good centre back. There was rumours that Villa and Southampton (they were Premier Division at the time) were looking to take him over on trial. Probably would have been around 2002 and 2003. Never realised that potential though

Craig Mooney has departed Longford Town FC to go travelling to Sri Lanka for six months. He may come back once his travelling is finished.. Bit of a blow to us as he was one of the better players for us once fit as he only played 18 games for us.

Shane Guhrie signes back with pats. Huge news if he's fit and back to how he played in first 6 months of last season

Plenty of bodies alright - 22 when you exclude Guthrie, even if a few of them are A league players. Ye seem fine in defence unless injuries/suspensions hit. Midfield looks very strong and more creative then last year.
But crikey there are very limitied options up front. Sean Stewart was impressive the couple of times I saw him last season - there could be a lot of chances for him to shine this season.
Whats the word from Inchicore on budget - is it much changed from last season?

Very light up front. Only 2 strikers, the rest winger/forward types. Honestly believe the only difference between Pats & Rovers last year was Twigg so getting North into the 18-20 goal range would be huge. Other clubs can make similar claims no doubt.
We should be OK in defence with plenty of others who can fill in if needed (Murphy, Mulcahy). Midfield have 3 good players in Mulcahy, McFaul and Bradley but bit fo drop after that. Keegan could be an intereting one. He was our best player when he came on on Monday but a little early to be screaming for him to start.
Budget has been reduced from 2010 figures. Manager not happy but he understands the finances have to be kept in order. As far as I know they're trying desperately to get a striker in but have little/nothing to offer them.

Freeman is dire these days. Ekanem is nowhere near Premier Division standard either. Lester is experienced and did ok at centre back at times but I wouldn't want to rely on him unless he's dropped two or three stone and gained some pace.
