i wouldnt fully agree with you there rory.was down in tralee watching limerick v kerry 2 seasons ago when aidan ryan last had the ot team and the above named player had a great game and played a big part in getting a draw against a quality kerry outfit when other so called better players went missing.a player who can play afew positions so im sure aidan ryan sees him as a useful squad player.cant see the lad starting but as i said will provide cover for at least 3 positions.being honest i didnt even know the guy was playing with either of the above.didnt see him around at all last season.played with AA the last game i saw him around town.
was that they same match where he was on a yellow and with about 15 mins made a rash challenge (kicked a player into touch needlessly), got a second yellow and left limerick with 10 men for the remainder of the game.....??
However up to that he did have a good game.

Its says in the fixtures that Carew Park are playing Corbally in the Touhy cup the thursday before the Oscar Traynor game against Clare.
If any of the Carew players get injured it doesent give them much time to recover for the game on Sunday.
I know when limerick were last in the OT final, there was a match between Pike and Boro midweek before the final. Both sides had a number of players in the team/squad. Work that one out.

if any carew players gets injuried they wont be turning up for the oscar trainer team which is sad to say becoming a hindrance to players threatened with bans if they dont turn up etc etc why should carew risk there best players if they pick up knocks again corbally in a comp nobody has any interest in.

I think you will find your wrong there if a players name appears in the squad on the local paper and he does not turn up he can be suspended for 3 matches.
This rule came in when Paddy Cusack was Oscar Traynor manager.

I've seen Alier a few times this season and every time he has played he has done extremely well and think he should be a regular in the view team. Would be a good addition to the squad.
lads i have two tickets for shamrock v sligo final in the aviva stadium.if interested in going pm me your mobile and i will ring you.they are free and are for premium seating.

Any prediction for the Limerick V Clare game tomorrow??
What do ye think the starting line up will be?
1. John Ryan
2. Wayne Colbert
3. Brian Cleary
4. Dan Goggin
5. Pa McGarry
6. Conor Kav/ S Grant
7. John Boyle
8. Keith Harnett
9. Jonathon Grant
10. Alan Barry(if available)
11. Alier/Con Kav
Limited option on the left wing in my opinion and I feel Conor kav is best used in the middle but may have to do a job on the wing.
I'd say Limerick will be too strong for Clare with a 1-3 away win.
Grant 2 and Alan barry to get on the scoresheet.

Ya you are correct, the home team (desmond league) are meant to supply 3 match balls but only had one, this was kicked form the grounds and training balls had to be used for a short period of the match.

is a young, fast striker or winger. played a couple of season with shannon hibs and left after the start of last season to play with a team in the lower divisions in town. signed with the boro this year and is obviously doing well to make the OT team..
good overall resly for the LDMC OT team..well done to all

Gentlemen, first time poster on this thread. A Cork AUL man.
Good to see the forum put to good use with healthy team selection debate.
As a player of limited ability, I cannot work out how any player can turn down a chance to play representative football. Baffling.I did not see the Star on Tuesday last, but, I believe there is some reference to Douglas Hall players not showing up for MSL game and bans to follow. I believe it is right.
West Cork league should be punished for not fielding a side.
Cork AUL beat Cork Business League 7-1 in a friendly last midweek.
Very tough in 3 team groups. Big advantage in my opinion for Cork having games 2 & 3. Very hard playing in first 2 games especially, if you need something from the 3rd one. A low scoring game is next best for the AUL in the MSL/Tipp game if it wasnt a draw.
