Death in the Pike camp. Match may or may not be on depending on Funeral Arrangements. Lost for a second name currently but he was the first player from Pike to Play International for Ireland against Noway I believe (1949 or 50). Tim "Togsie" Cunneen. Part of one of the greatest Junior Teams to come out of Limerick at the end the 40's/early 50's

rip,did the same not happen a few weeks ago with pike and the match went ahead,but that was junior council though was,nt it

Sheriff Utd v St.Peters 1/2, 13/5, 4/1.

I wouldnt be to sure about making handy money on St Peters. They were lucky to get tru the last round game vs ballinasloe. They created 1 chance and took it. They are slow at the back and any decent striker will cause them a lot of trouble if he gets the correct supply of ball.

Best of luck to Athenry, they are doing Galway proud. Hope they go on and win it out.

cup competitions are all about luck? you need a good side and a good dash of luck. In relation to the ballinasloe game, it was a terrible game on a terrible pitch. Peters have mixed it with the big boys for 5 years now and many an international striker has come up against the peters back four. We shall see tomorrow if its easy money or not!! Bookies and everyone else writing off peters as usual but they have beaten these lads before so lets see its your proved right. PTWD

i have to say well done to pike, and no,there was no paddy power stand!!

Athenry were well worth the 2 nil up at half time with a very strong breeze behind them,i thought it was goin to be tough in the second half and it turned out we couldnt keep them out for the 90 mins against the gale.

ref made some poor decisions, for both sides ,but cant dispute that pike are a fine side and good luck to them. hard stopped i reckon.

we'll be back next year hopefully, would love to see a re match without the hurricane.

Besides last season with the mishap in the quarter final. They have been in quite afew Quarter finals along the way but... It's Going back to the late 80's I believe for Pike, along the same lines again as it happens, A trip to Dublin for the Semi Final back then aswell!

I think it was 1975 last time pike got this far, great match to watch yesterday gave away two poor goals not like the pike defence, Athenry were are very strong team best of luck to pike in the next round.

lighten up Hooper, ya'd swear ye were knocked out yesterday......I'd be pretty sure all Pike people would rather have to read my attempts at humour on this years thread than go through the nonsense that went on in last years thread......best of luck in the next round, nothing easy up in Dublin....any match report from the Athenry game??? Are ye looking forward to the visit from St Michaels on Saturday??

A pike - Michaels semi-final in the munster, and the possibility of them clashing in the final is mouth-watering to say the least. Tricky ties for both teams but would be a fantastic spectacle if they were to meet in the final, the attendance would be as big in a final as it ever was!! Think michaels will win the F.A.I, and Pike for the Munster..

I dont follow you ballboy.......

bottom line is if Pike win their next two games in the FAI Junior Cup they will have deserved their win and nobody can say they arent worthy champions, like wise for the other three teams left.

The New Ross Celtic v St Michaels semi is fixed for Ferrycarrig Park in Wexford (home of Wexford Youths LOI team) at 5pm on Easter Saturday. Top class facilities and an excellent pitch. Bets of luck to both teams.

why are u so worried about pike and what they do, there isnt a shadow of a doubt that pike are goin to come back from this defeat, do you think for a minute there going to let another team beat them like that, your havin a laugh arent you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
