Best and worst away pubs?

How about nominations for best and worst away pubs? My fave
used to be the one next to St Pats ground where the Guiness
was so good, you went home afterwards to pebbledash the loo.
The worst IMHO are in Bray where I found only seaside hotels
where the locals thought a match was something you light up with.

You can't beat Mickey Durrow's in Laois. The craic there is brilliant, and City fans are always welcome.

Unfortunately I don't think any of the Cork pubs near the cross be in the selection of best pubs. Is the Horseshoe the worst pub adjoining an eL ground?

Seems like its the dub clubs that mainly have the pubs near to their grounds:
- Fagans is good for Tolka games but more for food (decent sunday carvery) 'n drink than match buildup.
- Doyles is good for atmosphere pre Bohs games.
- MacDowells probably best pre & post Pats (could be Rovers this year) games as usually mobbed by both sets of fans & never seen any trouble. Could be improved with a doorman & valee parking for bikes 'n stuff ;)

Can't think of any other grounds with pubs within walking distance.......

Galway - Kates, shopping centre near the ground , recommend a pint of guinness and the steak sandwhich

Longford - Fallons,Valentines, any where is good really ;) couple of stewies will settle you nicely before or after the match.

Bohs - Doyles , good craic

Shels - Fagans, nice pint and good food also

Sligo - the old mans pub acroos from the ground ( cant remember name) watch the local fishermen drinking tinnies in the pub, while playing darts!

Pats - McDowells although i dont like it :mad:

Bray - nowhere close, bring tinnies :eek:
