Conor Henderson signs an extension at Arsenal
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_7256819,00.html
Was looking for an update on his knee and stumbled across his Twitter where about a few days ago he said its a "slow process but getting there!" Needs to get back on the pitch soon just to get him away from Twitter.
Shane Byrne extends his loan at Bury, only 18 and seemingly doing OK in League One, should be one for the future.

Not sure its been mentioned but Scott Davies has returned on Aldershot on loan from Crawley. I think this is his third spell on loan there and in the previous two he has done quite well so hopefully he can find his form again...a couple years ago I was sure he'd break in to the Reading team.

Ryan was really highly rated when he was with Sunderland, played for the first team in the 2002/2003 season, but was hampered by a series of serious injuries.

He was highly rated in Ireland too. Best player in the country over the last 3 years for my money. The fact he won player of the year in probably his worst season says it all.

Spartans snap up Irish international goalie (http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/non-league-football/2011/12/02/spartans-snap-up-irish-international-goalie-72703-29881489/?)
Good noises coming Martin O'Neill about fellow Derry native James McClean.

Irish youngster James McClean has an outside chance of his Barclays Premier League debut in Martin O'Neill's first game in charge on Sunday.
The 22-year-old former Derry City winger, a £350,000 summer signing for Steve Bruce, has impressed the new Sunderland (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/teampages/sunderland.html) boss during his first week on Wearside.
McClean, who made on the bench under Bruce but failed to make an appearance, caught O'Neill's eye ion the early sessions on the training ground, but particularly during Sunderland reserves' 6-3 win over Manchester United (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/teampages/manchester-united.html) on Thursday night.
And his new boss, who faces Blackburn Rovers (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/teampages/blackburn-rovers.html) in his first game in charge at the Stadium of Light, could hand him a shock start as he looks to kick-start Sunderland's season.
O'Neill is without suspended captain Lee Cattermole, while on loan Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is struggling with a groin strain, which would leave O' Neill with the option of bringing McClean on to the left wing.
He said: 'I've been really impressed with McClean. He gives you absolutely everything and on Thursday night in the howling wind he was picking it up, and although he lost it a couple of times, he then came on really strongly.
'He's got a great attitude and I couldn't fault him. He's as courageous as they come and he's quite physically strong at the minute.
'Hopefully, he'll try to force his way into the side. Now the Premier League would be very new to him, but even so he was impressive.'

West Ham have signed Stephen Henderson on a 3 year contract after his loan move earlier in the year. Reports in this morning papers say that Robert Green could be on his way to QPR after his wage demands have not gone down too well at West Ham.

Well, for the next three and a half months at least. He always looked decent when I saw him, will be interesting to see if he can hack it as a first team player.

Third top scorer in the league now with 14. I never understood why so many people expected him to fail over there.
