Don't Kevins have a stream into the Liverpool academy? They seem to be undergoing a bit of a resurgence at the moment after that one great Home Farm team of a few years back.

Kevins seems to be the team that is “attracting” all the best young footballers, from Dublin and further afield. Think they won the U12, u13, u14 leagues last season.

Not a dissimilar starting level to one Martin O'Neil, (Grantham Town 87 to 89). I hope it goes really well for Kinsella. Remember him and Holland post Saipan, with the unenviable task of the Roy Keane shaped hole to fill in the small matter of a World Cup finals, he gave his all.

Kevin Thornton offered a monthly deal at Northampton. The managers comments are interesting, so much ability, should be playing much higher up, but the length of the deal says it all.

It's good that in these tough times we have young internationalists out working in other countries. It's hard to get the youth interested in politics but these lads can be great role models for the country..

various reports that Sean Thornton has signed for FC Metalist Kharkiv in the Ukrainian Premier League, subject to a visa
from http://www.sportsnewsireland.com/soccer_irish/39017/
Sean Thornton, the former Irish U21 player and fans favourite at Sunderland, Doncaster and Leyton Orient , has recently agreed a 3 year contract (subject to visa) with Ukrainian side Metalist Khairkiv who play in the Ukrainian Premier League (Premyer Liha).and http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/9133674.Bruce_reveals_Gordon_will_be_third_choice/
Former Sunderland midfielder Sean Thornton is to join Metalist Khairkiv in the Ukraine.although describing him as a "fans favourite" is a bit wide of the mark
According to their wikipedia entry - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Metalist_Kharkiv - Metalist finished 3rd last season in the Ukrainian league, so will be in the Champions League?
<EDIT>
sorry, I'm wrong, they're entering the play off stage of the Europa League, the same as Spurs and Celtic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%9312_UEFA_Europa_League#Play-off_round
