These lads have gone out on nights out a few times and put in performances. Just wasn't their day today and very harsh to critise them for what I'd consider a once off.

The one-sided score-line might have been a once-off, but the poor attitude towards matches is something that's dogged the squad for a long time. A lot of those players had the exact same approach to games when they were still playing their home games at the Greenhills. Going out and getting hammered the night before a match is a tradition that's followed a large part of the Coonagh squad since their earlier years at Caherdavin, and it's sad to see it still holding them back now.

The talent in that squad is phenomenal. The preparation for match days is not.

I wouldent worry too much if i were the Coonagh lads they have Prospect next week in the Lawson.

I agree with pretty much all that. The only thing I'd disagree with is their actual preparation. They come out in big numbers for training and train hard. It's the attitude towards the nights out that they don't seem to change.

Pride has been restored to the Coonagh team this afternoon when Prospect were lucky to leave with a win. One outstanding save by the prospect keeper and four missed chances cost Coonagh a second round spot which they would have deserved.

Coonagh 1-4 Lisnagry.

Coonagh missed and early penatly but went on to score 5 minutes later. Coonagh had a man sent off in the second half and the game changed from there. They managed to hold Lisnagry out till the 65th minute and then it was an uphill battle from there as the 10 men grew tired.

That will be a tough semi final so for Shannon Town presuming Lisnagry beat Murroe which would be expected.

They didn't have it there own way against us and if we had kept the 11 men on the field I think we where on course to hang on for the win so they are definitely beatable. In saying that though out of all the teams ive seen play this season in this division they are a good bit ahead of the rest which is proven in the league table.

Have to agree with you. The league table doesnt lie. Specially seen as they haven't lost a league game this season. They are a big strong physical team too. Shannon Town are really banking on favour's for them in the league yet they still have to play them in the league again away which is a tough task. Pity Coonagh went down to 10 men cause they are a very good team aswell. After an excellent start to the season they just lost their way a little.

Only problem with Shannon Town is that looking at recent results the goals have dried up for them. A few goals against Northside on Sunday would be great for the confidence.

Northside have improved a lot in the last couple of months with three or four new signings so winning is most important for Shannon not the amount of goals and Northside will be a tough side to beat.

In fairness to the rest of the northside players who seem like a decent bunch of lads, they tried to break it up and get on with the game. i think your match is the semi final, ye played parkville in rd 2 and lisnagry beat us in rd 1, so Lisnagry have to play rd 2 v Murroe and the winners play shels in the other semi. Think this is right.
