not sure on croom utd b & athlunkard thought they both got relegated last year
but with limerick league it would not be a major suprise to see both teams still in league this year !! looking at league website coonagh & star rvrs were relegated from 3a

Ya they both got relegated but if its anything like last year the Limerick league could end up promoting about 6 teams

Pretty sure it was Coonagh and Summerville C relegated from 3A last season, not Star Rvs B.

The website hasn't been updated in a while. There was still a few matches to go when last updated. It even still has Fairview down as top of the premier.

Just seen our fixtures for the new season here are the teams in the division:

    Meanus
    Ballylanders
    Newport
    Parkville
    Shelbourne B
    Moyross B
    Shannon Town
    Lisnagry
    Summerville Rvs
    Coonagh Utd B
    Murroe
    Northside A

That means 3 teams (Aisling Annacotty, St. Pauls and Park B) got promoted to 3A and 3 teams got pormoted to 3B (Moyross B, Shannon Town B and Lisnagry). Coonagh and Summerville got relegated from 3A, also there's been a team added to the division in Northside A.

What's the point in teams fighting for promotion at the end of a long season when even though you might finish 3rd or 4th you can be guaranteed promotion the season after??

Its Coonagh Utd A not B that is in this division. The divisions above have had teams pull out, that is why so many keep moving up. Also more teams have come in below so to make space teams have to be bumped up. Personally i feel if you don't go up as winners or second it doesn't feel like you've been promoted. Heard Northside have been getting players from all over the Northside of town so they could be good. How true that is i don't know as i can't see too many players leaving the likes of Moyross, Balla, Shelbourne etc.... to play in 3B.

Moyross B, Lisnagry and Shannon Town should be all good sides depending on who they have hung onto since last season. I don't know about any of the other teams.

agree with you on the promotion issue makes a joke of leagues system ...only positive things for clubs is to keep playing right to end of Season and finishing 3-4 may get you promoted ..is it also fair a new club is put into 3b personally i think they should be put into div 4 and try and win their way out of league

Heard Billy Barrett is over Northside and they are back training a while. If he is over them i expect him to put together a strong team.

With 12 teams this year plus cup games. Add another 6 - 8 weeks with cancellations. Thats some long season. Maybe a couple more divisions wouldn't go astray to lighten the load a bit.

No harm if you ask me because in some of the divisions that have had small amounts of teams it can go a month or two between games. Division 4 was over nearly a month before the other divisions last season too.

Heard Northside will be playing at the pitch just after the fly over on the way to Rathuard. Used to be Hill Celtics.

That field has not being touched in years they will need to be working on that 24/7 to get it ready if it ever will be.
