Fair play Shels, suprise result ok but they are not as bad as the table suggests, they came at us from the start with great heart and deserved to lead at half time, we took over in the second half and should have been awarded a penalty when a defender handled the ball on the line(unbelievable decision). We levelled ten minutes into the half and lay seige to their goals but some great saves from the keeper and stout defending kept us out. Then a min into injury time they scored and that was that, you create your own luck and thats what they did and fair dues to them.

Newport are a good team but that is a suprise result also. Seems like a few suprise results in a lot of divisions at the weekend.

What happened the ref here? Was it the pitch or just bad luck? Pitches getting a bit harder now alright.

Moyross are behind both Coonagh and Shannon so will want to close the gap. Shannon could open up a few points lead if they beat Coonagh. Newport will be a tough game for Lisnagry, heard they got a few new players and they gave Moyross a good beating in their last game, it's a derby match also. Basically anything could happen this weekend, Coonagh could go back top, Shannon could go top, Lisnagry could open a gap or Moyross could close the gap on all 3.

i think Northside will push Parkville all the way sunday and win by the odd goal as for coonagh v shannon b match, Coonagh got the wake up call they needed against Shels and i think they will shade a close game by the odd goal with Lisnagry to be held to a draw

Shannon Town B are coming into form themselves and actually beat their own A Team last week 4-0 in a friendly

Their A Team being a premier side like....

Thats why i think Coonagh will find it tough even though they have beaten some top teams in Friendlies themselves but unfortunately they dont count

lisnagry beat northside 3 nil.was at this match must say it was a good game both teams tryd to play football but lisnagry wer far better and probably should have scored more and northside will feel unlucky not to have scored 1 or 2 themselfs.the ref must be the worst ref in town he missed a load of things twice lisnagry players wer taken down in the box what u would call stone wall penos and the ref gave niether and even booked a player for diving when there was obvious contact i was at the other side of the field and i could see he was taken down but all in all an enjoyable game

Coonagh 2 2 Moyross

Draw a fair result here, Moyross went 1 up early on but Coonagh hit back to go ahead only for Moyross to score in injury time, very sporting game by both sides with the ref having a good game in the middle

Rumour has it Moyross B kicked out of league. Incidents during their game vs Ballylanders. If this is the case all teams yet to play them will be awarded 3 points as far as i know.

Coonagh the big losers here. They played them only two weeks ago and drew, now all the other teams (barr ballylanders) are going to get three points without having to step onto the pitch. It's a pity cause Moyross where one of the better teams in this division and capable of taking points off everyone.

I thought the rule was if they had a C team they have to fulfill the the B teams fxtures Or is it different if a team is actually kicked out rather than pull themselves out?

Grinder64
01/12/2010, 5:51 PM
the c team dont cone up as the b team have been kicked out,the only losers here are the players from moyross b team who were not part of this problem will not be able to play football untill the new season as the whole team has been kicked out of football,if this were a bigger club in limerick it wouldn't happen to them, any one who has not played moyross will get their 3pts,just like when shelbourne got kicked out in div 1b and this should not reflect on the rest of moyross utd

Agree with everything you said above, played them two weeks ago and not one single incident from on the pitch or the sidelines, the only problem is they were in a good position in the league and as such in a good position to take points off the top teams like they did to us, but now we are the only losers here cause the other teams will be given three points:angry2:

Grinder64

what ldmc should of done here was call up the clubs along with the managers of both teams make them tell them the names of the players who started it and deal with them instead of kicking another 16 players out of football cos ldmc would not have the balls to do this to the likes of pike, fairview regional etc its totally wrong kicking a whole team out of football due to few people who started this

are you sure all the players are suspended till next year cause if so its a disgrace

They would have to have more than 2 thirds of their fixtures played for previous results to stand so all the clubs in the league will get the six points so ye should be ok.

Jofspring

All teams awarded the 6 points. So that means Coonagh get an extra 2pts while Shannon get 6pts, Lisnagry 3pts, Newport 3pts, Ballylanders get 2pts, Parkville 6pts, Northside 5pts, and the rest 6pts.

Puts Shannon back within 1 point of Lisnagry. Lisnagry have 1 game in hand and Coonagh have 2 games in hand.

Coonagh v Parkville off pitch frozen,

Half way through the season and things panning out in this division, at this stage it looks good for Lisnagry who are probably the strongest team in this division but second spot is going to be interesting, bewteen shannon, newport, ballylanders and coonagh. Shannon hold second spot at the moment but with other teams having games in hand and everyone to play each other again it should be very close. this is a strong division this year with players dropping a few divisions to play in 3b and Coonagh hopping to add four to five new signings, Newport have added a few A players, shannon a strong side and ballylanders have all their footallers at the moment makes for a great finish to the season. Good luck to all teams and have a good Christmas and see ye all next year

Ya 10-1 to Lisnagry.

No Coonagh weren't missing any players. Was only 4 minutes to go when blown up cause i had it timed but Coonagh where well beaten. Never at the races today. Second to every ball and a lot of players doing silly things they never would and making silly mistakes they normally wouldn't. Lisnagry are the best team in the league.

What happened was the coonagh keeper got injured with three minutes to go and the ref said the match was over as soon as they centered off. Coonagh were terrible this morning after most the team were at a 21st last night, and it really showed but at the end of the day its three points dropped to the future league winners, and plenty of points to play for.

I'm not here to slag off Coonagh as I'm a former player (and hopefully future one too) but there were plenty of times we went out for 21sts/other random things the night before and we never got hockeyed THAT badly, so best thing is for ye to have a game next weekend and get it out of the system, onwards and upwards hopefully :D

well if you get home at seven in the morning it does not help, not making excuses either cause Lisnagry are good enough for a higher division were outstanding this morning, this is a new and very young Coonagh team who have to learn what is expected of them and they sit in a good position in the league

unfortunately for Coonagh they have now gone from having 10 goals against to 20 against in one week. Quite a price to pay for a night out. They did look a reasonable side at the start of the league but with 22 games in the season, it all comes down to consistency and desire to win. I reakon Lisnagry could have that desire and will be hard to beat coming up to the business end now.

These lads have gone out on nights out a few times and put in performances. Just wasn't their day today and very harsh to critise them for what I'd consider a once off. Can't remember those lads every getting a beating like that. End of the day 1-0 or 10-1, it's only three points and up to the team to pick themselves up and move
