Disappointing alright. More to do with the start of the coming season id say. Especially as he has had his squad number changed to 23 from 31 (what with the EPL 25 man squad rule). Must be in Moyes plans, no doubt Stubbs told to take him off.
Unless he got injured.

Unless he got injured. He wasn't injured. It was agreed he'd only play the first 10mins or so. He has an Ireland u-21 game in 2 days time plus the start of Everton's season Saturday so understandable they didn't want him on long.
Forgot about the u21 in fairness. Good sign for him though, that he's no longer considered one of the reserves

I thought the Sligo fans were saying that Everton would bring a strong team?

Good sign for him though, that he's no longer considered one of the reservesThere's a very good chance he'll be starting against Blackburn on Saturday, he's played at right back the most in pre-season.

Over 5,000 tickets have already been sold for this evenings match between Galway United and Liverpool reserves at Terryland Park.
A limited amount of tickets remain on sale from Ticketmaster outlets, and from the ground during the day. For further information, visit www.galwayunitedfc.ie.

Harps Legends playing Celtic legends in Finn Park on Friday, game has been arranged for weeks now and although the Celtic lads prefered Saturday, we convinced them to play it on the Friday (so as not to clash with our away tie against Longford).
Thankfully, those nice people at Longford have now changed their home games to Friday (as of this week), nice of them.

I heard this today sam from Bartlay Ramsay. I dont necessarily agree with it but the orders came in from TC and its looks we are on friday games at home for the next while!I think TC was giving out about having to play so many away games on fridays..

Craig Walsh is now out on loan as far as I know so unlikely to feature
[/obvious reply]
I'll be going to both games though and don't usually go to see these friendlies we play, our first team squad has so much depth now it'll be interesting to see who's playing and playing well, as well as a handful of younger A-Team players who won their league last year.

Good goal. Still can't understand how Galway people can show up to a match and support a bunch of reserves many of whom they'll probably never see again over their local team.
edit: not just Galway people - people from any town in Ireland

When I worked in Galway, I met some locals who didn't even know where Terryland Park was. In a town the size of Galway, when the ground bears the same name as the fairly major and well-known area in which it's located, that's unforgivable!
