3rd Round Draw on MNS tonight.

Does anyone have the results of the 2nd round games over the weekend for an idea of which non-league clubs have made it through?

Amazing that Pats have not won it in that long ! I remember seeing some (very limited) footage of their last win on Liam Brady narrated programme on Dalymount (think it was called Dalymount days)

Please god no, not another game with yee again.
All I ask for is an away draw somewhere other than in the pale.

If Limerick are drawn at home, let's hope for a Charlize Theron moment where whoever reveals the team who will be away to Limerick calls out 'Barcelona' , before correcting their mistake.

Nope

22 Premier & first division sides
10 A League and non league qualifiers

Open draw.

If its Pats we could revive the old Patselona kit.

Good thinking

A spin to Tallaght would be grand. And I've always wanted Harps to play Tralee for some reason :)

Hopefully one of the A Championship teams will get drawn at home to a Premier side, Dynamos got great coverage from last year's draw, so it'd be a real boost for the division if any of them get the likes of Bohs or Sligo.

Away to Drogheda. Could be worse though we're bound to lose against them eventually. That'll be 6 meetings this season.

Happy enough with that, Home draw for the cup holders against Mervue. We are quite used to beating teams from the west in the cup :). Oh and it was a penalty ;)

You'll be happy to know, soon after UCD joined the League of Ireland Senior Division, we won the cup in 1984 against SRFC. And were then drawn against Mervue Utd. as our first opponents as holders. Mind you those were different times, that first game was away from home for a start, totally different.
Probably shouldn't mention UCD lost our following FAI Cup game(s).

Happy with this. It will be UCD's first competitive game at Hunky Dory's Park Home of Drogheda United FC.
John Lester buried our dreams in a FAI Cup replay up there, 3-2 after extra-time. Great game. As was the first one.
Drogheda will be committed side for this match, that's why I'm looking forward to it.

Happy enough with our draw, mainly because of the fact we are at home.
Good few of the games could be played on the Sunday as it is a bank holiday weekend when they are being played.

You played us in the league first game of the season?

Yeah I remember that game. Was a cracker alright. We scored a very good free kick if my memory serves me right?

1. Yes. But it was still Utd./United Park and the annoucement hadn't being made yet.

2. First game was a good warm-up. One of the biggest attendances at Belfield Park Stadium.
I think this will be a very tight game.

I think your free kick (in the 118th minute...) was deflected. We scored from 25 yards into the top corner with ours (after 116 minutes).

has there ever been a Donegal derby in the FAI Cup?

You'll probably still find a way to lose to Derry ;)

Keep enjoying it before yee finally go out of existance.

As for the draw, a bit dissapointed we didnt get a nice away draw.
At least its a team we havent played in a while, would rather to have Athlone Away cause ive never been in the new ground, St Mel's the memorys.

Nice draw for Tralee if they can get past Tolka.Have alot of their squad coming back from injury and would fancy their chances against Limerick

I have done Dundalk at 14/1 to win it, a decent price for what is technically a top 5 team, and hard to beat at home at least...........
Also did Derry (20) and Waterford (25) - both good teams and depending on the draw should go far.

Anyone know the exact dates yet?

Sorry, don't mean to burst your bubble here but, at the minute, I would have Limerick down as a better side than Waterford.
If ye got a draw out of it I would be amazed.

The Tralee side that played Waterford was no where near their first team although I would agree that Limerick would b fancied but if Tralee have full squad available they would not b one bit afraid of them and would think they have a chance!

Can't wait to see the final being played in Lansdowne. I just hope the finalists are big clubs or else the league will once again look shambolic.
