I havent really a whole lot to add as most has already been said but an important theme that was highlighted numerous times both at the meeting and here is for more people to get involved in any way possible.
I realise that i am probably preaching to the converted here but whether its selling lotto, cleaning up at the ground, recruiting for the 400 club, joining one of the management sub-committees there is a way for people who have a lot of free time or only an hour a week to get involved.
l will be the first to admit that outside of doing the usual supporter stuff of going to games, buying the lotto, jerseys etc i havent done anything to help out the club on a voluntary basis but after listening to the impressive chairman and contributors on sunday im definitely going to get more involved and hopefully others will do the same.

Dong
The Management Committee is looking to set up a number of sub-committees and is looking for people with specific talents to come on board.
.
Did they mention any skills in particular they would like?
I have always taught considering 2,000 people go to the Showgrounds every couple of weeks that with that amount of people there must be a great variety of professions. (from graphic designers to solicitors to tradesmen). This is a resource that could definetly aid Rovers, and not doubt most supporters if they were approched would be happy to come on board with.

Well you've practically answered your own question to perfection there redoobit.
exactly as you say anyone from graphic designers to solicitors to tradesmen and from what I remember these specific skills are required for help with the Web Site the finance committee and the Marketing committee.

I'm intrigued there is no talk about the AGM on here, or maybe all you superfans on here are not members, surprise, surprise,:o. All hardy boys for typing rubbish on the computer but won't dip the hands into the pockets to become members. Most of the membership including myself will most likely be dead in 20 years, its time the youngsters joined up or there will be nobody to run the club in the near future
