I am glad you mentioned pauro.. The new home kit is the exact replica of the 2008 jersey under Vinny Perth stewardship.. The only difference is the crest on this one is red and PVS wont be on it. Its way better than last seasons version...

Away kit template is same as Everton's from 2006. I'd have much preferred a new design really, but suppose we'll take what we get, we're hardly on the top of Umbro's list!

Great player, and one of my favourite players to have played for us in the last few seasons. Great signing for ye in Athlone. I think he goes to college there?
Yeah, I didnt think he'd be back after the apparent uturn last season but he's a great lad
to have around and will be a huge boost to the team. Delighted that he's come back to the
club he supported as a kid :D

Brians a good lad.. I had great time for him ever since I introduced myself to him last year in preseason and said I was a good friend of Ashs... He was always the first to come over to the Section O lads after every home game..Its a surprise move for him .. he was very close to gettin player of the yr last season and only for his large list of sendings off he would have got it.. I would like to wish him the best of luck.. any word on the ex athlone lads Jinks and Russo?

Heard rumours that Carmie went to Mervue
heard last nite from a source in the club that Ryan McEvoy has joined from Bohs on loan for the season... We have also signed a unnamed player but all will be revealed in due course I suppose.Darren Forsyth who was on trial with us has joined Shels. wonder is the unnamed player Ian Byrne or Don Cowan?

Wouldn't go by that 100% there's a few lads listed who are gone. Saw sorbo saying on the main forum that McEvoy was signing alright. He looks a good player should be a good addition.

I was at the agm of the club last night and for the first time in years town recorded a profit of 4k approx compared to a loss of 40k the yr before. Domefords Ltds accounts can be viewed on the cpo website .. But the club are in great shape and long may it continue. I can understand now fully why the club accepted our proposal of a licence for the top flight. I would like to congratulate the club on a job well done. The accts were available for viewing at the meeting..

Nowhere as yet but they'll appear on the companies office site, www.cro.ie in due course and a copy can be emailed to you for €2.50 at that stage. Last year's are up there at present. Nothing too outrageously exciting in them anyway.

Niall O'Reilly has also signed according to the Longford News. Athlone was his last club from recollection. I'd say that's the squad full til July anyway.

I've heard from one of my sources in Dundalk that we've signed Simon Kelly from them. Not sure if its a loan deal or permanent. Could be a loan as the window for permanent signings has probably passed. He has to sit out a 3 match ban before playing for us.

He was with Dundalk last season but as far as I know he's out of contract at the minute so don't think we'd be signing him from them.
He was a regular fixture for them last season and quite a good player in my estimation. God knows we need improving at the back

He wasn't offered a deal for the new season
A really good player if ye manage to get him just a shame that he's playing First Division

Free agents can be signed outside the window alright, I was thinking Cousins might be looking for some defensive options. Hopefully he'll be a good addition if he has signed.

considering that Simon Kellys name has bein mentioned about a move I can reveal exclusively that Simon Kelly has definitely signed ... I believe that it is on loan for the rest of the season to the best of my knowledge but he is definitely coming as I heard this from two different club members over the weekend..

He can't be coming on loan as he's not contracted to anyone. He may well be signed for the rest of the season but we can only sign free agents at the moment, not loans or players who were contracted to any other club after the transfer window closed. Anyway it appears that he is signed and hopefully he'll be a good addition.

Hes obviously must have signed from one of the dundalk local teams.. I wouldnt fully understand the transfer system hence my error with thinkin it was a loan moverso it kind of makes sense if he signs for the rest of the season on a permanent deal as longfordian states in his post here..
