Connor going back to Sligo is clearly a wind-up.

It's not Kenny anyway.

Just heard that he is commited to Derry alright, pity he would have been a decent choice.

Its now down to Doolin,Miller and Foster.

Hope Miller gets it.

I was told last week that he wasn't being considered.

Job offered to Kenny waiting a reply, S Conor going back to sligo ?
What a wind up.

Do you think we could afford a manager and a director of football.
Even if we could, with the new rule regarding the 65% wage cap including all staff, it would be a waste of money.
Also Connor as a Director of Football, do me a favour, the guy destroyed what youth structure we had in place when he was there

Has the announcement been made yet? I know it could be a couple of pages back but i don't fancy looking for it?

No - reports suggest DFC had lined up Kenny, expected him to sign today, had announcement all ready, then he changed his mind (apparantely)

So back to square -1, as dont think we had a plan b !

Pretty much a standard day`s business at Oriel Park.

Reports on our forum, suggest that Ian Foster will sign for Dundalk tomorrow.

Please no, we need stability now. To lose Fozzie would be a travesty

Yeah but where are these rumours coming from, is it Foster himself that said this to somebody or a board member?

Stop talking out arses lads, Cook has already signed Chris Turner and its obvious he has ambition for next season, we suffered disappointment on Sunday, but he himself will tell you we can only learn from this, and he'd love to win some silverware with us after all the hard work he has put in for this club. As far as i'm concerned, Cook will be here next season.

I don't care anyway, It just ruled Paul out for us tbh. I think Doolin will end up here with that Silligalis(sp?) fella....:(

Although by advertising the vacancy it shows they are looking further afield...I hope..

Unless he has just bought a hellicopter or has some other mode of transport unknown to mankind, it wasn't Paul Cook in Innchicore this morning as he was in the Showgrounds.

And he certainly wasn't there yesterday morning...

The job is being advertised outside of the league of Ireland, Speaking to one board member he said they have no interest in Foster

I'd be surprised if they did - worst defensive record, questionable tactics in numerous games, unproven at the level Dundalk aspire to (he has had one season as a manager and finished in the play-off spots at the end of the season, Utd's position after the other 35 games doesn' matter a damn)

I can't believe your actually degrading him. We played our most attractive football for a few years, he had a paltry budget, the people of Galway wouldn't come out and get behind the team, and for a while we were going from billy to jack looking for a place to train. Your the first United fan I've seen to speak in such manner like this

I just read on GUFC.net that was posted by a very reliable source

As Foster is under contract with United, and GUFC have already refused permission to Dundalk to speak to him, it seems that Dundalk are in breach of league regulations.

More of the same again this year so, like Kenna last year !!!!
