This is a resources thread for video production and everything you might need for it. I've tried to include free or part free sites so you don't incur any cost, and obviously there's lots more out there as well. If you know of anything please post it. There is a good chance you will have Windows Movie Maker (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/getstarted/default.mspx) on your machine already, have a look at it and see what you think. Press F1 while in any application to bring up the help file.

Also, you could try some of the freeware sites out there for other installs - www.freewarehome.com (http://www.freewarehome.com/) - www.brothersoft.com (http://www.brothersoft.com/) - www.tucows.com (http://www.tucows.com/) - www.download.com (http://download.cnet.com/windows/)

Just out of curiosity, what are people using to edit their own stuff? What do you think works best?

Just in case people need this ... www.keepvid.com (http://www.keepvid.com/) is a good way to capture footage from YouTube. It will save it as a .flv file which you can convert to .avi with YouTube FLV to AVI Easy Converter (http://download.cnet.com/YouTube-FLV-to-AVI-Easy-Converter/3000-13633_4-10684538.html).

Another thing that people might want to have a look at is High Dynamic Range or HDR Imaging (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging) to make more of some of their photos. Its an effect that can really transform so images.

See some HDR Photos here (http://4carpictures.com/the-azure-newly-launched-car.html).

Here is a small bit on Stop Motion Picture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_motion) and how it can be used to make animations (http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Stop-Motion-Animation) like some of these (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8JexiISPNk) and even some of these (http://www.youtube.com/user/pesfilm?blend=1&ob=4#p/c/4CF1524B28F8F557/2/wZeguaJzUyk).

Do you want to send the clip to me via email? How big is it? Would it less than 200 mb? If so you could upload it here (http://www.speedyshare.com/) and pm me the link.

If anyone is having trouble with formats etc. then Super from eRightSoft (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) is a great piece of software to help with that.
